Upgraded mounts should have new skins

If the devs want to make some money from selling the mount upgrade tomes, the mounts should get new skins like companions as they improve.

    One of my guildies upgraded the pig mount to rank three. I was really hoping it looked different, but alas! No dice.

    What an idiot and waist of money. He deserves to get banned for trying to exploit. Trying to change the look of something by throwing money at it . Oh wait he should only get a temp ban for using money and exploiting.

    No thanks. Not unless they make it optional like the companions. Right now the only reason to upgrade a mount is if you like the skin it has now. Otherwise you're better off just buying a rank 3 zen mount from the shop.

    the only reason to upgrade a mount is to increase its movement bonus. but i believe it costs less to just buy a T3 mount.

    That doesn't even make sense ... Why do you even hang around these forums? All you do is talk down to others, and bash the game, in a wholly unproductive manner I might add. Obviously you hate it so move on.

    Because he was probably one of those EXPLOITERS that spammed the weekly quests in sharandar and got banned, and instead of taking it like a man and acepting responsability for what he did, he blames the pwe/cryptic or whatever esle he can so he can sleep at night...
    dont you know that its never the exploiter fault? its always someone else or something in their eyes...

    Well I Agree with on both account:

    First: *Eye Candy* is must for F2P games not just stats, so adding another impressive look by upgrading your mounts its a must that will increase the consumption of sell of mounts. Just as companion have a choosing table of looks which you can pick anytime the ones unlock. We already have the Nightmare skins upgrade, from red, blue to purple. Hahahaha Cryptic kind of over abuse the looks of this mount to much... they should just do this as upgrades in looks.

    Second: It be pointless for just speed upgrade, unless they add an upgrade to turn mounts into battle mounts, then there would be a REAL Reason for the upgrade if they don't change their looks. They could add special powers accessible depending of the type of mount and your class role. NOW that would be something to spend recourse or money on. After all in history Cavalry NEVER use the same fighting tactics of a the foot soldier in armies in wars. They did this in CO... so its possible and it would add so much to the PvE and PvP battle tactics.

    Great suggestion but I see it take a while before it comes to life like it happen in CO. They just added more and more travel powers and then finally made the vehicles and its mods.
