Crash trying to load char in Summer Festival area

I only needed to enter the Summer Festival Area once and accept the first quests and start walking across the first bridge when game crashed. Now the game crashes whenever I try to load this character so can't play the game. I even recreated this problem with a second character so cant play with that one neither. :(

Anyone else having this issue?

During the first quest in Sharandar Ruins, there is a waterfall and an Elf on a unicorn. They are near a pond.

Now, a friend and myself were doing the quest. Once we approached the water, he reported seeing weird artifacts and "flat" water with only a texture "flowing" as if the river was flowing. My client, on the other hand, froze - "Not responding". Now I cannot enter the game because my character is stuck looking at the water which (possibly) freezes it. Both of us have ATI Radeon graphics, with the latest drivers.

I have never had issues, except for the login bug, where you login too fast and the login screen doesn't load properly, after which the client sometimes crashes.

My video settings are mostly on lowest, since I like some FPS over eye-candy.
GFX adapter used was DirectX 9 on my ATI Radeon HD4870, fullscreen windowed. After this I tried combinations of game's safe mode, fullscreen/windowed settings, some video settings which may have to do with textures, using the DirectX 11 adapter to play... no luck.

Perhaps if there were a switch in the game launcher which removes you from the Zone or takes you back to spawn, we could verify the bugs.

loranren, it may mean that your client is also registering the water (under the bridge, heh), and crashes because of it. I guess we can only hope for a quick fix. It definitely has something to do with textures or particles.

Slight update: Luckily I got booted from the zone after leaving the party. I re-entered, walked the same path and the game froze exactly at the same moment - once the waterfall was in sight. This has to be a graphics issue.
