In many instances I fight off the node at a choke point keeping the enemy from accessing the node easily (they have run around me to access it) yet I get no points for guarding said point.
It seems the system is set up to be on or right next to the node to receive the points which turns into a super brawl in the middle of the map..... While it can be fun it takes away from strategic play and people like me who try to keep people AWAY from the node get screwed.
Not only that but I have noticed people who get the killing blow get more points then the person who did the most damage to the target. I am sorry but it should be the OTHER way around. Not hard for some classes <cough> TR, CW <cough> to get that final shot in after someone else did all the work.
The point system should award an x amount of points per player kill and it is divided up in conjunction with the AMOUNT of damage a player did to said player. Like right now it is +25 points for an assist and +50 for a kill shot EVEN if the person who did the kill shot only did the kill shot. This kind of point system is unacceptable and needs to be changed.

I agree that the PvP point system specifically on the "kills" part needs somehow a change. I am actually planning to suggest that the kill point should be base on who did the most damage on a target and not on the last blow.
Fight on the node, your points will increase. You will get bonus Tower Rush points for kills and assists on the nodes. It's funner as well. The only time you should fight off nodes is if you are advancing zerg style and trying to keep the other team from taking the middle.
I was in the bottom a lot, until I just started planting my bum on the nodes, and not leaving. Now I'm in the top 4 if not top spot nearly every match.

"Guardinig" "the spot" was bots speciality = no points, killing in a spot you get points, you can do a lot of dmg and not kill the player= no points, why let's say "enemy can cut your hand off but still you have the other one so you can still do dmg with other hand". Kills not dmg. If you have a lot of dmg and someone else finish the enemy you get assist points. If you play pvp a lot you see that sometimes people are winners not because of killing but assists. And you forget to mention that killing in the spot you get 100 tower defense + 50 kill. Kill is for pvp, how many dmg some did is for pve.

Beastiegboys -- That is my point though..... why should a TR or CW or even a GWF get more points for killing blow when someone else did all the work? In many instances I would of killed the player but someone showed up at the last minute to steal that option from me.
Not all classes do insane damage like lashing Blade from TR which can 1 shot and usually setup a 2-3 shot chance.
DC's and GF's are insane defenders of nodes yet to do that we don't pump out much dps. We should be awarded for what dps we do do and not have the points stolen from us by another who just happened to be at the right place at the right time.

What class are you? I am a GF, and I consistently 1 shot TR's, CW, and 2 shot low geared GWF all the time. PVP is about burst DPS, not sustained DPS. And if you are a DC in PVP, you aren't killing, you are healing and pissing off the other team.
Some characters can become harder to kill the lower their hit points are, for example guardian fighter can spam iron warrior for massive temporary hp when they are low, and characters that stack regen heal for quite a bit at low hit points. And players tend to run around in circles trying to survive at low hp. Imo person who does the killing blow should be rewarded more, and in the big scheme of things, the difference between 25 and 50 points is minimal. The biggest source of points is 300 from capping towers, and of course keeping towers is what decides which team wins in pvp.
If you're a cleric worried about your kill score, you can steal some kills too with punishing light. They actually buffed that skill a bit and it's great for finishing off people in pvp.

I have had this happen to me alot on my GF and my DC. Some TR comes along and deals the killing blow when they just had a sliver of hp let and I was about to kill them. Yet I only get 25 points for an assist and the TR get 50 for the kill when I did most of the work. Very annoying.
Try playing a support DC or GF then, the only points you gonna get is for assists and a couple of nodes in every match, your lucky to even get in the top 5 spot if you totally dominated the other team. The scoreboard is a joke, doesn't mean anything and should be removed or replaced with a relevant one.

I support this idea! More PVP modes... Will make turn the PVP more interesting to many people!
