Unicorn model lol

Hello,

Just saw some ranting thread about PVP and the guy also mentioned the beautiful unicorn model :D

The thread got of course moved/ locked before I managed to reply. But it made me to bring this up.

Do you like the new unicorn model?

I am personally speechless :D , My opinion? It is so **** ugly and it so much do not fit the game.
How are those things getting approved to the game ? :D

    Where is the option of, Don't care for the model? I am not a pre-teen girl? lol. I am joking. But, which option is for don't like it?

    He, to be more specific, what I personally dislike is the crazy muscularity and the pony like curly hair.
    It's not like I don't like unicorns, but unicorns are magical creatures not hulk like ponies with curly hairs :D

    It's just too much :D

    It's true to the lore in every way, including the beard. That's what counts for me. :p

    It is a classical presentation of a unicorn, which fits perfectly with the Realms.

    But, not to worry. No doubt more manly man mounts are just around the corner.

    Show me one picture of Unicorn from any Forgoten Realms art that has curly hairs :D

    Yop it has a beard, yop it's more muscular (but not on steroids as the one in NWO) but no curly hairs sorry :D

    No offense to My Little Pony fans, but you should leave it home and not bring it to your job :D

    I don't mind the model. It's true to lore and all. However, I do have a question about a certain feature included on the skin for it ...

    I have never hear of an Unicorn having a beard ever got be a D&D only thing. <_<

    The only thing I see they didn't get right, from a lore standpoint, is unicorns have golden hooves.

    It's the universal "look" of the classical Unicorn.

    What bothers me about the Neverwinter rendition of it: the sparklies are tolerable, the butterflies are gag-inducers, and it needs to have some armor plopped onto it. Other than that I think it looks pretty good, definitely better than I had imagined it would look (like a "standard" horse with a goatee and horn glued on).

    Overall I think it fits very well within the immersion factor of the game - unless I see a Drow/Orc/Teifling Guardian Fighter/Great Weapon Fighter sitting on one. That's when visions of Kobolds with Clown make-up start dancing in my head.

    Elf, Human, Halfling... sure. Trickster Rogue, Wizard, Cleric... sure. Doable and believable (immersion-wise). But other than that it's a laughable entertainment for me to see it..

    Am I the only one that has no issue with the unicorn? Other then it seems to be missing a "ramming speed" option. Just let me ride full bore into baddies or even other players. For that, you just got murdered by a sparkle pony, moment of joy.

    This game is a lot more interesting now that you can bullcharge or sunburst unicorns into the air.

    baah ! What's more important is the WORG mount looks too tasty . Seriously a worg is suppose to look tough and stringy . These piglets look young tender and tasty . Aint no self respecting orc goanna ride one of these , well maybe to a BBQ . Give him some armor and blood markings like the awesome orc battle dog !

    My horse in real life "Pearl' The unicorn looks just like her, and everyone tells me when they see her she looks like a real life unicorn so I think the Unicorn mount is great! silverpearl2_zpsef21d9c5.jpg

    I don't mind a Unicorn with a lot of mane and a bit of beard, but if you think the NWO Unicorn's beard looks like the one in the NW Wiki, you're mistaken.

    The one on the Wiki's is a simple goatee. The one in the game has hair under the whole jawline that sorta connects to the mane, and covers part of the chest, as well as the goatee aspect. It's a little much for my tastes. One issue is that light often shines between the top of the goatee hair and the bottom of the jaw, which makes the jaw look really odd, like it has a double mouth/jaw or something. Outside of that, the rest looks fine.

    Edit: forgot to add, I voted "don't care." I don't dislike the Unicorn, but I also don't like it enough to personally want one.
