[Suggestion] Foundry made PVP maps???

I can't, for the life of me, understand why Cryptic has not setup the Foundry to allow authors to create their own PVP maps. There is almost NO PVP content in game. The foundry could have a feature to allow a 5 on 5 PVP map that groups could queue for on both sides. Simply add features to the foundry to allow for specific PVP game types... king of the hill, deathmatch, various CTF modes, kill the NPC boss, etc. Allowing a PVP/PVE map would be great... making NPCs either neutral (for map progression, perhaps?), or aligned with team 1 or team 2...a nd then you can add mobs to the fight as well. Even have an NPC that lets you choose specific mobs to help you over others. Setup archers on a castle, or choose a group of melee fighters to help with an offensive assault. Even have new mob group spawn after a certain amounts of points are gained. The possibilities are almost limitless. Allowing players to make their own content with a large set of tools would turn a very limited PVP experience into one of the best available in current MMOs.

Cryptic... think about it!

Cryptic has said they are thinking about it and considering it for a future enhancement.

As far as answering "Why" they haven't allowed it yet, it's pretty easy to figure out. They'll have to change their entire model to not only support but promote Foundry creations to be played by groups of players at the same time. I'd dare to say that the vast majority of Foundry quest playthroughs right now are done solo. That's not going to work for PvP. So the real challenge is: When you have 100s of player created PvP maps, how the heck do you get the opposing players and teams queued up in these maps to fight against one another? It's not an easy issue to overcome.

Why do you challenge me? kidding... and I do understand that it would require a huge overhaul.... but the idea of designing a pvp level is fairly simple. what the foundry does as of right now is far more complicated than what this would require. Other than allowing 10 people on a map, many of the tools are already there. the queue system, on the other hand, would be more complicated. I understand where you're coming from there. Still... I feel they're losing a huge audience of people who primerally like PVP combat. as far as customer base goes, I'd think this should be really quite high on their priority list.

There is also the issue of having a fair and balance design PVP map in which one side doesn't have advantage over the other. It is something that all Devs have to deal with. It would be cool, but this will a huge use of development time for the foundry team for a small subset of players.
