Just wanted to see if I can get opinion's on this both seem great to me, couldn't decide which would be best in PvE or PvP situations for a heal spec'd DC.

Preference really. Soulforged saves your life in an "oh s***" moment and the other one makes you little bit more tanky. Other than PvP soulforged has the benefit of only really needing a Lesser to do its job though (which is to save you from death when you mess up) which can be really nice.

It's worth noting that the soulforged only needs a lesser to be effective but a Barkshield under greater seems pretty useless unless you're fighting really sparse, weak mobs.
From the wording on the enchant, it sounds like a charge is consumed whenever you are hit, regardless of the amount of damage. A CW channeling Ray of Frost could bring down Barkshield completely in less than a second.

This is a good point. Soulforged gives you great benefit even from the lesser version. Also immunity for a short time is better then absorbing damage if you ask me. The damage absorbed seems to be per hit whereas the immunity is to all damage when it is active.
Soulforge will be nerfed to ground one day, it's rediculus overpowered. I would start farming for the Barksheild for when that day comes. And it takes 1 Charge away with every hit. One hit doesn't consume all charges.

Yea we keep saying the same thing about Tenebrous, and it's not going away anytime soon.

On a related topic - what about the weapon enchants - is Vorpal the only viable choice for clerics? Any sense in Holy Avenger or something from Feywild?
I use Holy Avenger, but that's coz my crit chance is way to low for Vorpals to be effective.
Also Vorpals have no effect on Astral Sheild wich is the bread and butter of my build.
