Hello and thank you for considering Checkered Raven as your new MMO home. Our goal is to create a mature, family-friendly community of gamers looking for fun and adventure within a variety of online worlds. Our current focus is in Neverwinter Online's end-game PvE content. We are a social guild that enjoys the challenge of perfecting your character build and smoothly farming high level dungeons. Checkered Raven intends to become one of the premier guilds on the Dragon server. Visit our website here We are in search of like-minded individuals to join us. See our recruitment page on site. Although our membership spans many nationalities and cultures we are a primarily English speaking guild. Members are on at various hours throughout the day, making this a great guild for individuals lacking "regular" USA playing times. For communication purposes we pay for and maintain a Mumble server. Upon acceptance into the guild you will be given the password and encouraged to join us in voice chat (using the program is free). Please see this thread for more information about Mumble.

What are we looking for in a member?
  • Someone who enjoys playing the game and his/her respective class(es)
  • A mature, worthwhile person who wants to help build or be a part of a social community of gaming friends
  • Someone that enjoys the nuances of end-game content and understands the requirements it takes to reach that content
  • Someone who can respect the thoughts/feelings/beliefs of other members even if you do not agree with those thoughts/feelings/beliefs 100%
  • Someone with the willingness to learn from others and teach those who are up-and-coming

What we are NOT looking for in a member:
  • Anyone who cannot meet the requirements of what we are looking for as listed above
  • People who constantly complain/whine about the game
  • Drama Queens / Kings / or Divas
  • Non-English speakers
  • Ninja looters

    Nice website. I found your loot rules unethical, specifically an unfair version of cronyism though. But each to their own.
    Tip of the Day: The forums are not for guides or tips or learning how to play. They are here for people to whine until something gets nerfed or buffed.

    Hi Alassael, thank you for the input and we appreciate any way we can improve our overall game experience, especially as a guild as a whole.

    I would like to ask what part of the guild loot rules you didn't like, and thought was unfair? I surmise it was the part we'd like long-standing members as opposed to new recruits rolling need on a particular item of the same class that is an improvement to their gear. This detracts ninja looters who will simply gquit and not continue to help fellow guild mates gear up and progress.

    Keep in mind our guild loot rules are simply guidelines we made after several players fleshed out how best to handle situations, and any agreements made supersede them.

    EDIT: We have discussed this rule and it has been removed, in consesus that we do very much enjoy gearing up new members through end-game dungeons.

    Every T2 dungeon currently in farm mode including 4/4 CN and 3/3 MC.
    We also do 5-man PvP premades on a daily basis.
