I have some problems when i need to pick which weapon and offhand i need to use for pvp
I'm specced Renegade and usually i run with 2 Shadow Weaver and 2 Champion mage set
I have Ancient Orb and its talisman and Champion orb and its talisman and i have a lot of doubt in which weapon is the best for pvp

With Ancient weapon and off hand i can have + 16 dps + 318 power + 458 recovery but i will loose 784 hp , 279 crit and 196 arp. Anyone can tell me which setup is better and why pls?

I went with the T2 PvP orb/off personally. I had the same struggle as you but I decided the GG items just have better stats for PvP, even though you're giving up the slightly higher weapon damage and total stats from the ancient. Definitely a tough call though.

Yes atm i'm running with gg items but sometime i think to change to ancient weapon to see if there is any benefit. The problem is that i have to remove greater plaguefire from Ancient Orb and Greater Vorpal from Champion orb so there are a lot of Ad involved in the change and test it on dummies on preview (to avoid this loss of ad) is pointless cause dummies have 0 resistance so there for sure the loss of 196 won't be noticed so i'm trying to get an advice from someone that tested it ( i know that there are a few ppl on this forum that run a lot of test with ACT)

In a high crit set or mix like yours, the difference comes down to 784HP vs 1% crit, i.e. the dps+power difference and arp largely cancel out.

In a low crit set like High Vizier, the crit gain is ~2%.

So, yes, it does look like the T2 pvp weapons are slightly better than Ancient ones for pvp (at least for Renegade) since most CW's would rather have higher offense.

Well the problem is, even if you test it, you can only quantify a difference in damage, which should change based on how much crit and arpen you have to begin with (as well as what crit damage multiplier you have from vorpal). And I still think you need to consider the HP difference and maybe the recovery difference. So two people with different gear will get a different answer.

It sure would be nice to know what the damage difference can be in some circumstances though. Anything is better than nothing I suppose.

well 16 weapon damage is the equivalent of 400Power. I personally will go for the GG main once I can make up the 270LifeSteal of Spirit Cave.

How much hp can gain from 270 life steal? we are speaking about weapons choice for pvp not for pve

Not much, but he has specifically itemized for it. His total is pretty high, and I imagine he wants to maintain it.

Another question is how much arp is good for pvp? atm i have 2419 (with gg main and off hand) and i don't know if add more arp ( i can add 440 more arp) is a good idea or not

I have 1547 LifeSteal, which is 10.8%. I just need to upgrade a few enchants then I can switch to the GG weapon.

It's hard to maximize stats for PvP since you cant rely on an augment pet, but if you're ok with your other stats stacking more ArP is always good. You got GWFs/GFs with 35%+ damage resistance.
Check this graph to see how much of a gain you would get.

I can't get to 3k recovery , 3 k critical for sure. Atm with the gg main and off hand i have 3030 power, 1924 critical , 2419 arp, 2339 recovery. I will get the boon from Sharandar to get 250 more critical but i'm far from 3k in crit and recovery. I still have 2 offensive slot where i can put arp, or recovery or crit . Any advice?

Do you have an Augment companion (Cat or Stone)?

I honestly don't know what to recommend in that scenario. The new weapons added with Fey are obviously superior but these two weapon sets that you mention are so close that... I just dunno. Since you're Renegade, I'd go for the Crit and Armor Pen because the Armor Pen helps you achieve higher crits and the Crit helps you... crit.

2339 Recovery is viable for PVP. It seems that you've enchanted mostly for Armor Penetration. If your other stats are lacking then you might want to decide whether or not enchanting for them a bit is more worthwhile, or perhaps changing your jewelry/belt can help to compensate your other statistics.

Yes i have slotted all offensive slot but 2 with arpen. The last 2 are tenebrous but i'm going to remove those and put in arpen again or maybe another stat. With the new boon for critical i will get to 3030 power, 2174 critical, 2419 arpen and 2339 recovery . Right now with the new Eots i don't think i will need more critical so i don't know if it is worth add more recovery. If this is the case prolly would be much better switch main and and off hand to the Ancient one (in that scenario i could have + 16 dps , 3348 power, 2797 recovery, 1895 critical and 2226 arpen with still the same 2 offensive slot free to use)
