I appreciate the audio changes with the reduced NPC spam (though some are still in dire need of toning down how much it repeats). But just wondering what other audio noise you who actually 'listen' to the game find to be similar to nails on a chalk board. Right now I think my big one is the great weapons fighter idiots running around Protector's Enclave (or anywhere) and hearing 'swipe, swipe, crash... swipe, swipe, crash... swipe, swipe, crash... swipe, swipe, crash... swipe, swipe, crash... swipe, swipe, crash... ' I want to just grab their toon and throw them against a wall. UGH.
Anyhow, gave up reporting bugs/feedback long ago when PW's condescending and unresponsive technical support would spend 10+ days trying to even reply to me to say 'no' - and explain to me how stupid I was to ask for support for an issue that was 'clearly a bug' - silly me, I track all of the bugs.
I have the sound turned off now but a short list of the worst offenders (in no particular order)
1) mage shield. Every couple of seconds it makes a loud noise like an old timey cash register.
2) prayer. Once is ok, but the in town, the circle or any handy dropped alters get about 50 people doing it at once. UGG!
3) certain NPC's still talk too much, including the town prayer woman, the pirate's cook (we've been here so long..) ... idea: if they are near a campfire, mailbox, vendor, or prayer area, 1 talk in 15 min is about right.
4) most attacks make an awful racket that is repetitive after about 2 pulls you do not want to hear it anymore.
5) mounts and pets. The bone dog and warg mounts for example sound like someone throwing up a lung.
6) char screen music loop is too short. Ever been stuck in a room where someone else logged out or timed out and let it sit?? Try it!
There are others but those are the really bad ones.
LOL I had the howler mount in beta /AGREE - it's the reason I didn't get it in live. His animations are funny but I can do without that phlemy sound of doom. lol I definitely think localized 'self only' sounds would be nice or a setting for 'others action audio' where you can set it to low. As in 'yes I can hear my invokes fine but let's set the other invokes/mounts/spell casting/sword crashing to about 20% of that...'
The REDCAPS "Shrivel ya Liver" - it is deriving me crazy and made me almost put character sounds down to zero.

The redcaps are somehow... funny. It's bloodmagic, OK? You don't mess with that.
The mounts, however... at the AH... at the fires... at the bank... oh my god. And yes, the CW shield makes an annoying noise each time it goes back to the initial state from diminished, but it's not that annoying compared to the mount spam. Also, the laws of Feywild are not those of Faerun, OK?
Heh don't get me wrong I love the music and the voice overs - they're pretty decent in NWN. But 'A smart fighter quit's while he's ahead.' Should be local only. Same for the pet and mount noises - or at least modify the sound others hear from someone's pet or mount to be something greatly reduced/simplified. And with the 'volume' moving pieces in the foundry - surely the 'volume' of repetitive npcs 'The Harpers Need Your Help' 'Exchange Your Diamonds for Wondrous Items' 'Invoke your...' anyhow - we all know the big offenders.

Also the bug that makes your toon emit orc/mob noises when you jump is quite annoying/funny at times..

Iron Golems in Dwarf King's Crypt.
CW's Shield.
Enchant fusion failures.
The Redcaps in the new area are driving me insane with: "BLOOD MAGIC!" and "WATCH YOU BLEED!" in high piercing voices.
Why did they have to ruin the panther? Yes the new audio rivals the howler mount.

Heard that umpteen million times in PE, otherwise I don't really get annoyed by the sounds. I am usually in vent and have game sounds lowered.
We are definitely dominating, and we are always about to win.
