Drow skin tones

It doesn't seem I'm able to make a drow look like a drow. No matter how black I try to make the skin by choosing from the color palette the skin is just....tanned. Is this a glitch? Did they mix up the color palette between drow and sun elf? I'd truly like to make a traditional looking drow. Any feedback from anyone is appreciated.

Hmm this seems like an odd glitch as I was just able to create a drow with a very black skin tone.

Ahhhh never mind. I found a thread about new graphic settings being added. I had to reset to DX11 and tweak a few other things now all is fine.

Glad everything worked out! You should post the link in your original post as well so if other run into this they can see you were able to solve this.

I would really appreciate it if you do that, leillanna. I'm having the same problem, and I have no idea what to do about it.

What I didn't like is how many of the skintones are purplish, vs. maybe a bit more dark grey options. (I'm assuming it's the same palette as the M. drow) It's kinda like there's no inbetween of the black-black and very very dark purple. Not that they aren't dark, mind you. It's a color-tone thing. Maybe it's just my eyes. :)

It could be the settings as well. I started out playing on my laptop when I first created my drow. The way I created her, I thought she just had a slight purplish midnight color. Then I started playing on my pc, and discovered that she was an inhuman greyish chalkboard black (the darkest option you could go).

On my laptop, I didn't seem to have a very wide range between tanned and rather dark. I was wondering what the point was of making a drow that looked like a tan wood elf. On my PC, though, I had a much more diverse variety, and could tell they were actually all viable drow colors.

The graphics settings have a startlingly dramatic effect on colors. I have a DC who has bright-but-natural-looking red hair when I have my graphics quality maxed out. When I have it at medium detail or less, she's suddenly a brunette.
