Notice of Foundry Being Down

Disclaimer: This post is just a rant because I'm irked and I hope it will be therapeutic to write it down.

I can let most stuff that happens not get on my nerves, but why can't there be regular widely published notices/updates when it come to the Foundry Editor?!

Did I just miss a message/post/email/smoke signal that the Foundry is going to be down for a (I've been told a LONG) time? I was most excited about the changes coming with module one only to find out it's going to be an undetermined amount of time for me to experience them because of a "tagging" system? They have to reload EVERY published quest? Is there a reason they couldn't just disable the publish button/system and still allow editing? Finally ERG...erg...erg.erg....

I'm down now...mostly.

Cryptic will republish your quests automatically, you don't have to do anything. They do this any time the Foundry gets a big update, this is not the first time. It's something that to their credit, they do right.

They could at least give us some feedback, about how long it is going to be down. The foundry, let's face it... is the best part of the entire game. And it shouldn't be offline longer than the actual servers...

I've been asking for some sort of ball park ETA all morning... There should be a dedicated sticky post about this, same as there was for the game server...

They said in the downtime post that it would be down until some point this afternoon, whether that was delayed more by the impromptu downtime I can't say.

At least it isn't like STO where the Foundry is usually down for an entire week after major updates.

It sure looks like the automatic republishing has stalled. Could be they have to restart it after the server downtime. Ugh.

Dude, we had known for weeks that Foundry will be down when they implement the expansion.

You just have to read the updates.
