I want to point out that non-coders who demand things of coders clearly don't understand the amount of time and effort that goes into running a game as complex as this one. Therefore, I want to point some things out that the average person might be missing.

- They don't have time to be Lawful Stupid.
- Believe it or not, their jobs are hard - cut them some slack.
- It is likely that the character and environment servers work independantly. Likely a rollback is completely infeasible at this time.
- Picking through and punishing everyone who got a mount is furthermore ridiculously time-consuming. That takes vital man-hours away from making sure this new module doesn't have -other- glitches.

Most importantly,

- They have more important **** to attend to.

This was likely a one-time glitch. It is furthermore not likely to ever occur, again. They've already admitted their mistake and made an annoucement, reassuring people that this isn't large in the grand scheme of things. So far I've seen only two types of calls for a reboot; they can be boiled down to, "I didn't get an Inferno and I want one!" and "This is wrong because we paid X amount of dollars to try for one!'

Honestly? When I saw this happening, I thought it was a blowout event for everyone who had been playing for so long, already. The only people who benefitted are the ones who still had these lockboxes. They're now extremely rare equipment. The fact that there are 400+ more mounts in the game now than there were is inconcequential. If you got one, pat yourself on the back; that was just blind, and unintended luck. The fact that they got a lot of money off of us in that 45 minutes was also not intentional on their part, so stop accusing them of this. Nobody in game design _EVER_ wants to see, "Feywild is up!" and then "Server down for maintenance." within the span of an hour.

Right now their lives are -hell-. Stop making it worse, have some respect for all the work they're already putting in (oh my god the update to the graphics engine is <3), and cut them some slack.

So your economy is ruined? No, it's not; this will pass very quickly, probably in the next week, and all the rates will return to normal (except for the horses). In the long run, the game economy isn't harmed.

So you hate the people who speculated on the Zen market prior to launch? Are you serious? These people paid -real money- on the canny knowledge that everyone would want zen for the new boxes. The fact that -they- made money hand over fist isn't some glitch on the producer's part, it's good ****ing business sense. They are not responsible for this, either.

The bottom line is that this was just plain dumb luck for them, and for PW. They earned money, yes. But, were they acting immorally? Were they exploiting you? No - lack of attention to detail, and foresight, are the biggest players in this debacle. If you didn't exploit, you have the high ground morally - you didn't succumb. Isn't restraining yourself a good enough reward? Do you have to have someone give you free ****? Doesn't that remove the so-called self-righteous morality of yours?

When this happened, I immediately grabbed a beer and sat down on the forums to watch. Now, I'm weighing in.

Enough with the threatening to leave.

Enough with the butthurt over not getting mounts.

Enough with the gloating over -getting- mounts.

Enough with the wild, uninformed market speculation.

Enough with threatening lawsuits.

Enough.

Take hold of your dignity again. Are we babies? I realize this is the internet, but have some respect and act like a thinking, mature human being.

Sorry but to tell people to stop whining on a forum is pointless. People have opinions and people will voice them. If people have issues with a game they will voice them. To tell them to shut up because they aren't "coders" is just ignorant. And saying that they didnt do it on purpose is just speculation just like saying that it WAS on purpose is also speculation. The difference is, judging from the Devs/Publisher's reputation id be more inclined to believe the latter. They knew of many, many game breaking bugs even before there "open Beta" launch and those bugs even STILL exsist in the game. They knew about all of the AD exploits prior to open beta and still let them go until a month or so into "open beta" and still did not wipe the servers for there "official launch". This alone should show you how much they actually care about whether or not this game lasts more then 1 year. Your post is just a complaining post about complainers, its a complainception.

Yep the dev who made this mistake (probably a 50% instead of something like 0.5) is going to have a bad day. This is the only point making me sad.

Simple fact is that it was clearly a bug and therefore anybody that took part in exploiting that bug is clearly violating the games ToS, If they aren't doing a rollback then I hope they do go through the lockbox drop log and delete any mounts that dropped during the 30-40 minute period and replace them with unopened lockboxes and keys , also no offence but who are you to tell people how to react to anything?

Yep it happens, it's like making a mistake in a 100 pages work. Happened to me several times, maybe not decimals but plain and simple mistakes (in my native language). And i'm pretty sure the devs are humans, not machines. And i'm also quite sure the neverwinter team is clearly undermanned for shareholders related stuff.

Hard work might get you paid, good work gets repeat business. Like it's not human to forget the good but remember the bad?

"non-coders who demand things of coders", so I can't demand a better job from a mechanic, because I'm not one?

... and to ask people not to whine... on a forum? What did you think it exists for?

I just hope the new Cape is as funny as Caturday. Some people take things too seriously, as if they paid for it or something.
