Suggestion to upgrade the abysmmal PVP system.

Start by making updates to the PVP gears, and make it so that it grant bonuses when fighting other Players only, as opposed to the same stats as Dungeon gears. Dungeon gears are always better but what about making PVP gears have bonuses that makes it better when fighting other players?

Make it more costly and harder to attain as well, apply a PVP rank system in order to buy higher rank PvP items. Which means make PVP gear specifically good for PVP only and the more you play the more items you can access, just as dungeon gear are good for PVE.

This make PVP worthwhile and will even expand the PVP portion of this game which is woefully lacking to perhaps in the future include sieges, larger scale PVP battles and so on to earn more glory points and rank. I am basing this on my experience from playing The Old Republic and it works.

You make PVP specific items that are hard to obtain, and worthless to sell, then you create a system where people actually wants to PVP because they want the glory points and higher pvp ranks to obtain better PVP gears, items, and so on, and from there you can expand the PVP further from the current limited and uninteresting PVP modes.

Any suggestions will be welcomed and hopefully mods make this sticky because PVP is so essential to the game, I am hoping to see factional PVP wars in different maps or certain pvp zones in the future included, this will really provide a big upgrade in experience to this game.

I think PvP, at least at level 60, needs to be broken up into GS tiers; something like < 8K, 8001-9999, 10K-12999, and 13K+.

Beyond that, the devs need to bite the bullet and implement a system where powers can behave differently in PvP than they do in PvE, so one can be more finely tuned, without impacting the other.

I think if you do tiers, then you will have very long wait time for matches,
while I agree something needs to be done,im not sold 100% on the idea. maybe it could distribute teams based on total gear score.
Im sure it would still have flaws and would need to be tweaked to make it function well enough.

or even a ranking system that teams people up based on an avg score.

Im all for equal matches, but don't want to wait forever to get a match going.

tiers are definitely needed in pvp because matching a BiS geared person against a newly 60 player is just wrong

I don't think pvp items are that important when you can already 1 shot people.. ranking in gear score wouldn't work either because my full rank 10 tene perma invis 30k hp TR only has 9.8k gs.

The best way is a ranking system, but not for items.. for stats, such as kills, deaths, leaving, etc. then have a formula to rank the player. Players with better k/d ratio would have higher chances of being matched together so they won't be just spawn camping new comers. There should be options for premades.. options for tournaments.. options for maybe even naked fights?

Obviously this will never happen though. At least devs from 5+ years ago in mmorpgs listened to the what the community wanted. You can argue as much as you want about how they're trying their best or are listening, but first find me anything on the forums where they asked for a DC nerf in pvp lol..

Best GWFs in the game have around 9k GS. Why? All blue regen gear and greater Tenebrous. Best rogue in our guild had a 9.7 GS.

This I don't understand as I have 37k HP 54% deflect 1250 regen ~3200 def and have 11.4k GS. The higher rank enchants even in blue gear should put you over 10k, however blue armors are certainly not better than 2 2pc. If I were halfling instead of human and had rank 8 radiants I could attain 40k HP 57% deflect with same build. I would love to see higher stats with blues...

Edit: Ok granted I don't have Tene's so the rings and belt would be less stats b/c of offense slots but I'd really like to see the blue armor that has better stats than titan/scrappers
