With upcoming changes to shield and AP generation, I have been considering a alternative build, now I aware that Entangling Force on master is a good AP generation skill, with this in mind how does the the T2 Grym armor hold up in higher tier dungeouns. 30% reduced cd on Entangling force should in theroy boost the amount of Ap we can generate substantially in the absence of shield burst.
I wonder, when people will understand, that extra control is a waste? The best control is a corpse of monster. More DPS - more corpses.
You clearly don't get why Mastered Entangling force works, it generates a LOT of Action point, which means more Arcane Singularties, which means AoE DPS is much more effective, which means much more dead corpses in less time.
My question is directed at the pvp gear making it possible to use and generate more AP, not how long i can lift a mob in the air
Why extra AS will do AoE more effective? One AS - mobs are gathered next to wall or other collision object. Than standart rotation of CoI, terrain, steal time and shield. I'll better place OF, than cast another AS, cause OF has no target cap and debuffs all mobs with HV set.
But... nevermind, you can be whatever you want. If you want to be singularity bot and do damage less, than cleric, it's your choise.

Which is still dependant on Generating Action point, and the future patch will drastically nerf sheilds abilty to generate action point

Any wizard can slot Entangling Force in the Spell Mastery slot. And as I do belong to the group of "any", I actually did slot EF in the Mastery slot. And to my experience, the AP-gain of EF in Mastery slot is faster, but not by that amount that the damage, (de-)buff and control effects of Conduit of Ice combined with Icy Terrain (and Steal Time and Shield Pulse) don't outweight the difference (which is marginal, IMHO).

Honestly, I'm going to either wait and see or visit Mimic this weekend and see. Because patch notes and stuff written in tool tips, wikis and everywhere else is one thing, the actual experience often varies.
I was on Mimic. They really nerfed AP generation with shield to the ground. But this is nerf to singularity bots, not wizards.

Thanks for the comment/info, but I need to see how it works for me, as I'm not sure that shield is my main & only AP regen. I do play in a guild group and need to see myself.

There is a rule as old as our known universe: adapt or die trying.
