I like to start of with yes, it is a pretty sweet deal. Both ingame for keys, and the actual purchase of the zen. However.. i bought 5k+ zen 28 minutes before this new offer was posted about in news and applied. I feel slightly ripped of and have made a support ticket asking nicely if they would consider fixing this.
I also feel a bit ripped of from buying 10 keys in the zen market about 15-20 minutes prior to the discount!
Sincerely hope this would be looked at.. I feel a bit sad if it turns out a small margin of time like that will have to ruin my week.
Any other "victims" of this misfortune?

Not really, I remember Riot giving you a refund if you bought a champion before they where reduced in price.
I think they would avoid things like this by giving us advanced warning of upcoming sales, I bought 5k worth of zen about 6 hours before the bonus and whilst I'm not bothered about getting a bonus I would like to have not lost out on the deal.

This is not riot nor a perm reduction it is a short term sale.
You mean like they did on thier news site twitter and facebook?

I bought some last week as well. I just consider it bad luck really and not being "ripped off". Sales begin and sales end. If you buy things outside those times you just have to accept that you're paying full price and prices may change in the future. Whether that's one week or 1 hour. There has to be a cutoff point somewhere.
And sure submit a ticket explaining that as it doesn't hurt to try. However don't get all upset if they decide not to do it.

I would say you know little about f2p game economics.
They do not give refunds because you bought before the sale started
they do if you buy durring the sale and there is an issue.
I suggest you read terms and the all sales are final caveat.

True, Riot also gave me a refund when a skin went on sale a few hours after I purchased it.
Not to mention most retailers in my country if they have a massive sale not long after you purchase an item will allow you to return the item for store credit and rebuy the item at the new price (in even rarer occasions they give you the price difference).
In the F2P market it is alot more important to make the customer feel like they are not been nickle and dimed and it would be great PR for the company to do something like giving people who bought zen hours before the sale the zen they missed out on.

Yes that is one thing that riot do well. I do feel like it is a little self entitled nonsense though. But I can understand about missing out by a small margin and feeling annoying. The OP wasn't demanding anything. What you don't ask, you don't get. Something I'd like is an announcement beforehand on these types of things. That means if you missed out, it's your own fault and no one needs to feel 'cheated'.

Most games (everyone I played actually) give a refund when they doublecheck that the purchase has been done a couple of hours before the sale.
So no, it's not an insane request of the OP to have it. I love how people smartass like you know nothing and still talk.
@OP: Send them a ticket and hope.
