It seems really strange and distasteful to suddenly force people to install and use an additional third party software platform to run the game two months after launch. Whether "arc" is benign or not is totally irrelevant, you can't switch horses mid race.
I am very happy with the current launcher, and play NW with steam. I have no interest in changing that.

I wouldn't call Arc third party software since it is made by Perfect World, Cryptic Studio's parent company.

I only play one Perfect World game. For me Arc is simply bloatware, though I think it does offer benefit to those who play multiple Perfect World games. Fortunately, the Neverwinter launcher seems to work just fine still. I'll be unhappy if my current launcher stops working and I have to download an additional program that has little to no benefit for me.
