I'd assume that Cragmire Crypts and The Cloak Tower would be your best bets - it might not even be that hard.
Grey Wolf Den and Idris might be possible too - I have three manned the last boss fight in GWD at much lower than 9.6K GS average, and a TR is very well suited there for the boss. Lair of the Mad Dragon is probably not doable since I don't think you can kite or kill the adds fast enough.
To be honest though if you go perma-stealth build you might be able to some of these much more easily as a TR without the DC there.

Thanks for the prompt reply, much appreciated!
My TR friend has opted to not go down the perma-stealth route but if he ever does, I'll let him solo what he can
Crypts and tower sounds like a good place to start I reckon and if that goes well we will continue to your other suggestions.

Any general tips to share?
Well a LOT of healing pots for both of you, especially the DC is obvious. Also stock up on the stat boost pots and drink one of every type.
Companion choice is Augment pet (i.e. Stone/Cat) since everything else will die quickly anyway. If you don't have those than any Purple Companion > Blue > Green > White. If you only have white companions, then you might as well get the Cleric so that saves you some pots, or waiting time.
Cloak Tower may be easier since Cragmire has a lot of annoying ranged enemies at the last boss which will whittle your DCs health down. I would suggest that you get decent Defense (2K+) and Regen so that you can run around the whole time, since I doubt a single TR will able to deal with all the adds. Maybe he could just focus the important ones, but I still think a fast boss burn while the DC kites may be easiest. Having some life steal with AOE spells (especially Divinity powered Searing Light which can hit additional targets) might be worth trying too.
Probably other people who have (deliberately rather than through necessity) short-manned dungeons will be able to give you more specific advice. You have to expect to wipe quite a few times before you manage this, and even some of the easier Epic dungeons may not be doable for your class combinations and GS scores.

You can't duo epics, unless you kick every people joining the dungeon. I really hope you're not stupid enough to do that... You know, like kicking people who've been waiting for 1h or more in the queue to get in.
You should be able to solo normal dungeons without any issue though, even as a DC. I've done this several times myself. You should be able to duo the normal dread vault. It's a bit easier than an epic but you can get in manually. Proper challenges can also be given by foundry missions.

Or you can have three friends (or strangers) who don't mind giving you three minutes of their time.
Cragmire Crypt has a room with like 31453 zombies and that's a bit rough, but if you take it slowly, small groups at a time instead of running in as far as you can and getting owned like us, you should be able to do it. We had 10k and 11k gear score though, and we duoed most of the dungeon (just not that room and not the boss) because our teammates were really slow and several rooms behind at all times.
Pirate Lair place is doable with a trio, rogue-wizard-cleric. Way easier on the ground than on top of the ledge, in my opinion.

Not really, since they will get replacements, and you can't control that. That means "friends" or "strangers" have to stay in the dungeon for quite some time doing nothing, until they kill the first boss.

Thanks Booty for your insight, much appreciated!
And no, I wouldn't dream of kicking people from an instance after they have queued just so I can duo it with my friend - my thought was to actually go to the instance itself and enter, as we did when we duo'd a few normals during leveling, however I'm beginning to realize that I'm probably stuck in WoW-land thinking that I could easily change the difficulty setting for a dungeon
Starting to believe that even though it might be possible to duo a few epic dungeons - getting to the duo part might be the hardest part
i saw someone solo the pirate king dungeon boss in like 5ish minutes and that was pretty cool to watch (perm stealth). getting there will also be easy if you make use of the sploits to get to campfires so yea, extremely doable with only 2 people if you have a magic way of getting into epics
