A lot of you will feel that this is an e-pen.. thread. But i only want to encourage people to play free to play.

I was socked when a lot of my guildmates bought the epic mounts and ioun stone with real money before they even asked anyone how to get mounts for free.

Right now i have 29 day playtime with the first two chars. (i didnt added to this my other 3 alts, because i only do pvp daily, profs and invoking with them)

What did i get this time for free:

I have 13k gs with my main (Devoted Cleric), full ancient, i have an ioun stone full geared. I have 2 epic mounts. I have almost 5 million AD (if they buy my epic assets from ah, they are way under price, so they will really buy them) I have 6 char slots total.
I have 9 profession slots on main, 4 alts have 7 slots each (and will have 8 each with leadership soon). Working with man-at-arms in every slots.

Also bought bank slot for guild too, and i put in 300k worth enchants and shards +100g.

I made all quests, been in every dungeon, except throne of ildris.

And what can i say? I am still not bored of the game, even with i got all five class!
I have my full ancient since 1 month, and i still do DD every day! More fun, more profit, more helping for the guild!

I know there is a lot more way way way better gamers like me with free to play style. I want to hear your storys as well to encourage others!

Yes it is. 700 hours is not so much. I know players in another mmo with 11k hours gameplay. :D Even in fps games i know a lot 3k hours gameplays.

EDIT: but take consider that its 700 hours, but almost -100 hours afking, and reading forums :D

Well, someone has to actually buy the zen you exchange your AD for in the exchange. Not everyone values their money as highly as their time.

Must be nice to have no other responsibilities then play a game.

F2P/zen store was never a big issue. One could get 11k GS point easily and once you get that, every dungeon is doable at a competitive rate as other more higher geared players.

Endgame content is more of the issue

    *can't resist a quick calculation*

So assuming you started playing at the beginning of February (based on your forum join date) and not counting any days of August (to hopefully account for any days you couldn't play), that's 181 total days in which you could have played the game. If you spent 700 hours (actually 29 x 24 = 696 but rounding is fun) during those 181 days, but really closer to 600 hours accounting for AFK and forums, then that's 600 hr / 181 day ~ 3.3 hr per day = average of 3 hr 20 min spent playing every day.

    Not bad at all.

Unless you meant 29 days on each of your two characters, in which case that doubles to 6 hr 40 min per day and I wish I had that kind of free time to spend doing whatever I want. D:

You don't need to calculate his entire gametime.

When he reaches 11k gs with rank 5-7 enchants and full T2 gear, that should be it. One should technically be geared enough to complete any dungeon with ease. The rest is just fluffer/epeen stuff.

Hey, I'm not judging -- honestly I assumed you were a teen enjoying summer off from school/college, and I wouldn't blame you for spending time gaming if that was the case. I'm sorry to hear your "free" time comes at a cost, though. D:

Actually the best way to make money is getting your drop first and selling it. I remember selling a miracle healer's helmet (it used to have another name though) for something like 2M, some grand templar stuff for 4-500k, and T1 armors for 100k or so. At that time, there were no "speedruns" and people didn't know how to win spellplague or other T2s. Now T2 isn't worth anything, and dungeon runs are mostly not profitable. Now, if i get 30k worth of drops i feel lucky.

So... Such amounts of riches aren't possible anymore to get, unless you exploit CN to death all day long, which is really boring. I'm mostly playing with what i've earned at the very beginning.
