As much as I love the never ending "Balance" war, I'd much rather have a game with tons and tons of content than a game that is perfectly balanced...after all, have you ever played an mmo that wasn't in a constantly evolving battle for balance?? PERFECT BALANCE IS A MYTH!!! Who cares anyway!?
The only thing this game needs right now is MORE CONTENT...PERIOD. :cool: Please stop the Balance war and lets start pushing for more content...PVP, PVE, Crafting etc....PLEASE!!
Play all the classes and stop whining about balance. If you like this game, why not play all the classes?...CONTENT IS WAY MORE IMPORTANT. If you only play 1 class, of course you are going to cry about lack of balance...PLAY THEM ALL!!
well after the patch i can say that TR are pretty balanced just need to remove the perma stealth, GWF need to be nerfed to not be unkillable and GF knight challenge need to be nerfed/changed as well cause that is the skill that is making it really OP, and the Tene enchants need to be adjusted.
Everything works out in the end . If it hasn't worked out yet, it isn't the end...

@Oregonize. "Balanced" in what respect? PvE or PvP? Most of the arguments being made re referring to PvP.
You need to be a bit more specific because if we're talking PvE nobody would even be talking about the other classes.
People do care about balance in PvP. Hence all the debate. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion on the matter.
had to say i agree! I also hate to see the endless 'balancing' patches. some game had been balancing for a decade and still unbalanced, in the end nobody is the winner, you may revel for a while but eat dirt soon after:eek:
and just to be clear, i wouldnt say todays game s balanced, but as I levelling different classes i find every class can OP when in their game except DC. i cant say i fear run into a TR as a GF, GWF, CW, and vice versa. so either way if your gonna have fun you cant dwell in one place forever, so i vote for more content!

We're getting more content. There comes a time where more content shouldn't outweigh fixing known bugs and game related problems however.
Yes I've been saying for a while this game is actually pretty balanced. The on inbalance is the pvp at 60. And thats do to not having sub divisions based on gear score. If fights were done on more equal terms things in pvp at 60 would be much more balanced as it was at pre 60.
Except for DC's, the classes are already very functional and balanced. More content is coming, and I hope that we continue to see more content which includes more functional, engaging, and creative mechanics rather than waves of ADD's.
The right to command is earned through duty, the privilege of rank is service.
CWs have been nerfed "fixed" no need for more, even without their nerfs they still die too fast.
TRs and GWFs have too much survivability specially the GWFs, as for the rogues... its really cheezy to have a rogue that can burst range dps while stealth and/or chain CC. I dont mind dying to a lashing blade of a stealth rogue thats a given but a rogue who can use 3 survivability skills aside from stealth (ITC, DECOY, smokebomb) and still be able to burst range me while stealth is just too much.
As for GFs, thanks for tenebs they can burst dps and chain cc anyone to death and still maintain high def and high HP.... same thing with GWFs.
DC's dont have a skill to run away from being ganked, dont tell me sunburst because its nearly useless in pvp and it requires divinity charge, unless they make it into something that can be casted while controlled, then maybe it will become useful.

I was asking for clarification from the OP in regards to whether or not he is talking about balance in PvE or PvP. Two completely different things.

You cant have both high survivability and high dps at the same time, thats just too much, you should only have 1
one thing i noticed is that this one ability that makes gwfs basically immortal has a pretty short cooldown (is it a daily maybe?) because usually when i manage to get the temporary hp down he can just activate it again

Do you mean Unstoppable? It's not a cooldown, they build Determination by taking damage and if they feat for it, dealing damage also. So as soon as they're out of unstoppable you need to CC/Prone them.

To answer your question, to me, balance in PvE v.s. PvP is irrelevant right now because I think its relatively ok (not great, but certainly better than a lot of games) so I could care less. My point is nerfs vs. content and the fact that almost all of the discourse on these boards is about balance issues when it should be about more content.
The game is never going to be perfectly balanced, no game ever is. Whats the solution you ask? Same as every other MMO ever...PLAY ALL OF THE CLASSES.
The biggest whiners on these forums are those that only play 1 or 2 classes and therefor don't understand what they are talking about when they call for nerfs and/or are really mad when they keep getting dominated by a certain other class that may be a bit out of balance with their own. True balance in all situations is a MYTH, always has been and always will be.
People need to stop crying for Nerfs and just LEVEL EVERY CLASS. If you like this game, what do you have to lose in doing this? Lack of endgame content is FAR more threatening to Neverwinter's success than balance at the moment and I, actually, really think the devs deserve some credit for the balance they have achieved so far....really. A new build is made that makes a given class "OP"? Fine, switch to it and try it out for yourself. You will have a ton more fun than whining on these boards all day and you will be able to actually offer insightful feedback on the class instead of just whining...

You both clearly missed the point of the thread so I'll restate it...Stop talking about balance until we have more content, its pretty simple....if you play all of the classes, you are much more equipped to deal with balance issues. End game content is severely lacking right now in all facets of the game. Lack of content is much more dangerous than minor balance issues and there are plenty of other failed or failing MMO's that have demonstrated this....the only ones that think balance is more important are those that only play 1 class...suck it up and roll a few more classes, please!
Screw PvP. Screw trying to balance cause they only try to balance for PvP which in turn screws up PvE. As for content. It is coming and will be here when it is ready not when people want them to add it.

^Yes that is the main reason for the majority of OP cries. Unfortunately if or when they fix that issue, all the classes will already be worthless because of nerfs that were not needed.
