Any luck someone kind can post what items are required for upgrading in the new weaponsmithing craft? Would like to know if its the t2 weapons or t2.5 (castle never weapons) or the new dungeon weapons that are required as ingredients. Thank you kindly
From what I saw the stats on the purple GF items are about on par with T1. I haven't seen and purple rares yet though. I seem to recall a post about it being there to offer a lot more weapon skins for players. My biggest gripe about the whole profession is the shear number of residium you will go through leveling it up.

First: since there are no "white" end products, crafting and leveling weaponsmith is kinda expensive. You need a lot of Residuum or take more time and justharvesting and making materials.
Second: the weapons are even BELOW T1 standard - since dragon eggs cost much more, nobody will buy those weapons, as dungeon drops from AH are much less expensive.
But I believe -and hope - its the lookout that counts, so we will see, what comes there.
Oh, one thing is now regular: AXES and GREATAXES !!
What kinds of things will players be able to do in the new Professions: Weaponsmithing and Artificing?
Answered by: Kenneth Burd, Systems Designer
Weaponsmithing will allow players to create the physical weapons utilized by Trickster Rogues, Guardian Fighters, and Great Weapon Fighters, and Artificing will allow for the creation of magical weapons: Holy Symbols and Orbs.
As an added note, some of the feedback we received from players regarding our previous systems was that players generally out-ranked the items they could create, so the progression mechanics for these Profession systems have been tuned with the goal of allowing players to create items that are relevant to their current level.
If these professions are not improved they will be as useless as the previous.
All crafting in this game sucks...only thing worth crafting is pants and shirts...everything else is worthless ****!
Compare this games crafting to all other games crafting and you will see the difference = sub standard crafting...no end game or any where even close to it
It was mentioned, that crafted items shall be the preparation for dungeon loot. Thats why its stats are even worse than T1 items. As long as Dragon Eggs stayed low on AH price, it was able to sell purple crafted stuff. But with the rising prices again, there is almost no way to earn AD with crafting (T1 drops are cheaper than purple crafted stuff and it doesn't even have a set bonus like T1+).
Only Leadership works well. The rest is just..fluff.
Is it intended that there are no "white results" tasks? Only green ones make the leveling process a little bit painful (and I am not talking about the Residuum cost).
however if you look at the rewards there is supposed to be a set better than CN (2-3% better) that one pice drops from the dungeon, and the other according to the reward page need to be crafted however i do not see the option to do them in only the other crappy items, i know that they might use pieces that you can gather in the dungeon as well, however the exact details to what is needed is not within any of the task. So
WHAT DO WE NEED TO CREATE THE 2ND PART OF THE FORMONIAN SET?
GF Example.... shield is droppe din the castle but sword is supposed to be crafted
Everything works out in the end . If it hasn't worked out yet, it isn't the end...

The recipes only show up once you acquire at least one of the 3 required shards.
To view the shards you after just log on the gateway and type "malabog" into the professions section.
GF Sword uses the blade, hilt and quillon. You also need enough quality assets to get a rank 2 result - however they give you one more asset slot then normal, so it's not too difficult.
Stats wise they are slightly superior to their CN counterparts (eg: Best in slot).
Comments
dagger + 4, 2 x residuum, arcane shard, dragon egg = dagger of aryvandaar
Well, for the ones that are bought with seals, the arms pieces are currently missing.
