For some reason, after logging out and back into Neverwinter she encountered a very strange bug.
This bug has stopped her from playing and is pretty game breaking.
So the issue is that she cannot stop moving forward. This is not a hardware issue, as she unplugged her keyboard as a test while logged in. She is not pressing any buttons, her characters and I mean ALL her characters on her account, will not stop moving forwards. She's logged out and back in, as well as trying all keys - moving backwards just stops her momentarily.
Anyone else have this bug? or issue? Can anyone help with this, as she is the only friend I have who has actually spent money on Neverwinter and this is not a pleasant story to hear. Seeing as it is unplayable for her now.
It was fine few the last few weeks, this issue has only appeared since last night.
When she can log in later, I will post other details about this issue.

Are you sure she didn't accidentally press T?
T + Directional (Defaulted to Forward) will make your character walk in that direction indefinitely.
This should stop if you relog or press the directional key that you are walking though. For instance if you are moving forward and press W you should cancel the auto-walk.
However that's not the exact symptoms you are describing...
I have never heard of this issue effecting anybody else before. Has she tried an alternate account?
The issue as you describe it sounds like something out of the Twilight Zone or something.
I had the same problem a day ago, i logged in and my char was running. It was not "T + Directional (Defaulted to Forward)" I made sure of that, it was running if i was holding on to 'W' key and when I held down 'S' it stop and resumed immediately after i released. I restarted my game and it was fine.
Yeah, it isn't "T + Directional" As stated, tried every other button.
I'll inform my friend and check the fix Kidmac1990 suggested.
If it doesn't work, I'll be back here.
EDIT: Just checked - Restarting and such isn't working.
ALSO - Trying an alternative account, would defeat the purpose of buying Zen. Without a huge fuss about moving the Zen over to a new account. After proving that a bug exists that stops her from playing the game. The best or easiest method, is for someone to find this "Rare" bug and fix it.
But I figured out a quick fix for this Issue if anyone else ever has it again.
I got my friend to delete the following Folders :
"Cryptic Studios / Neverwinter / Live / Cache"
"Cryptic Studios / Neverwinter / Live / LocalData"
This way, when the game is reloaded again, it will default on all options the player could have done via options, etc. With this, it seemed to have overridden whatever problem it was. Though, this is a very extreme fix, Note that I've seen other posts about this, that uninstalling and reinstalling the game doesn't work - Due to the fact that the Cache Files and Preferences are one of the many things that are not truly deleted upon uninstallation.

arrgh, im having the same problem, he keeps walking to the right, not at full speed have you. but a nice morning walk speed. I try moving left, no dice, he just moves forward and slightly to the right, cant get him to walk at full speed at all, if I teleport (being im a CW) he goes in the proper directions, but otherwise always to the right.
Tried Reloading Game, tried reloading character, tried unpluging mouse, keyboard, restarted comp twice, tried deleting those files as suggested. no fix, always a slow walk right, I am unable to play the game while it is like this.
Please, does anyone have any other suggestions not mentioned above... I've tried playing other stand alone games, no problems... wtf?

This may seem silly but have u checked if you have a gamepad plugged in under your desk that has it's directional pad being pressed? Something to check - it shamefully happened to me xD
