My doubts about NW.

Hello, so far i've been playing the game for 4 days, i don't have any experience on the D&D lore, nor do i feel that i need it, there isn't anything fun about the cut scenes and all the talking in the game npcs and quests. I have plenty of experience on MMO's so i pretty much know how these work, i merely want to give my opinion and answer some doubts i have.
  • First (And pretty much a resume of everything) Why would YOU buy zen in this game?
In a scale of 1 to 10, i'm 0.5 interested in buying zen here. As far as i can see this game has a lot of technical flaws, an incredibly huge amount of bugs, an extremely ridiculous PvE (Is not easy, is not ubber hard, it's plain ridiculous) that requires no skill whatsoever but plain gearing and class stacking (This kill games really hard, when there are more "valuable" classes than others).
The only part that i fully enjoy of the game; PvP, to the point that i stopped doing quests since Pirate's Skyhold and got to 60 by fully PvPing was extremely fun until you get to the lvl 60 bracket, is not like i can't win, is that there's only 2 scenarios, A) You win by overkilling the opposing target because of simple gear advantage (note my emphasis in advantage, in most games gear should be an "advantage" that gives an edge based on how much effort do you put on acquiring it, it isn't by any means a factor that defines the outcome of a fight, at least, it shouldn't be) or B) You get killed by opposing team over gearing you, there's not a noticeable difference on "skills" since the PvP in this game is resumed to 'the smartest team wins' and not 'the best 1v1er will win'. Why would you buy zen in the game? Yes, i know that it's basically because all Perfect World games are pay2win, but still, why would i give MY HARD EARNED MONEY to buy such an incomplete piece of software?
  • I made these questions to the friends that started and got to 60 with me in a time lapse of 3 days since we started the game.
    1. - "How do you gear up in this game at lv60 if you don't like PvP and use glory?" - I dunno, i guess you buy the items with AD.
    2. - "What if that person didn't had our luck and started playing just in the moment of an event in which you could win millions of AD (Tymora's Boxes)? - Then i don't know, i guess it can be pretty difficult if you don't pay real money for AD's.
I want to make the same question to you guys.
  • Why would you make the PvE sets better than the PvP sets in PvP? Is that logical at all? Why would a set dropped in A DUNGEON would be better than the set acquired from the points gotten from PVPING?
  • Why do you guys think the last sets are so easily acquirable from the auction market? Shouldn't they have a different kind of currency, or be account bound so people HAD to play trough the content to gear up at all?
  • I really don't want to enter in the whole class balance issue, as my experience in MMO's tell me, they only nerf the "Overpower" ones instead of pumping up the others so everything is more equal. I just want to ask regarding some killer bugs that i've found with the several acquaintances that i've been acquiring trough PvPing, actually, i made a rage post because i was incredibly butthurt about one of these:
  1. Rogue Stealth/GWF Unstoppable bug, is this ever gonna get fixed? Whenever you use the TAB button at the same time that a foe hits you with a CC skill, your bar can refill but you can't use it, oddly, if you mount your horse and use Tab you'll be unmounted, meaning that the game actually recognizes the command but the packets end up elsewhere. Just want to make this a little bit clear, but these bugs essentially kill the class whenever they present at the start of the PvP match. My question is, has any staff member/developer made any declarations about this?
  • You'll ask "why don't you look for yourself". I'd rather listen the insight of the actual game players than the insight of the guys with the work of barely posting stuff in the forums, that probably don't even play the game, since the clear poor mismanagement shows that they don't. PD: Excuse me for the extremely long wall of text it sorta seemed smaller in my mind.
  • And my final question, what do you do after you got your end-game set? This game is entirely focused on gear, after you get it, what? You just make another character? This has to be the only MMO that i've played with such a low range of options at the end-game.
Anyway, thanks for those who read, and even more for those who answer any of my questions.

Except for weapons from CN, T2 pvp gear is equal to the T2 pve gear. In fact, stat wise ( at least for 2 classes i play) it is better. One could argue the set bonuses however.

Because the end game of this game is the economy. Gear is only a portion of that.

See previous answer. View economy as endgame and there a gazillion options.
