Idea for a new class, thoughts?

I just thought this would be a cool idea for a new class in the future, maybe?
Idk, just my thoughts here.
A battlemage class, good melee/magic attacks.
For your main hand you'd have a long sword, and for off hand you'd have a wand.
You could wear armor. or robes, or a combination of both. I'd like to be in armor and have a hood with a cape or something. I think all that would be awesome. Something that would counter a ranger if there ever is one.
What're your thoughts on this or even a different class? Tell me what you'd like to see.

    Look up or play ,(Dragon dogma) this game is just like neverwinter but 100 times better its not a mmo , its a third person story base game for x box 360 and ps4 , But this game has the best class system i have ever seen , It has every thing you want neverwinter to be.

    you guys at cryptic and perfect world need to play this game , and take a page from it , because dragon dogma would be the perfect mmo, and this is what neverwinter needs to be , so i hope you look it up and have a fun time with it , and you will see what i mean and why i i have so much respect for that game..:p

    So basically. You want them to toss the Hasbro license, something they most likely paid millions for, in the garbage. Beg, borrow, steal, or license a wholly new system from some other game developer, potentially a competitor, mind you. Based on your singular recommendation alone?
