How are Temp Hit Points calculated?

When soloing with Sacred Flame, I have noticed that the amount of damage absorbed by Temp Hit Points is usually in a range rather than a fixed amount.

Does anyone know how Temp Hit Points are calculated? Is there a set amount per-level? Is it based on a stat, such as max hit points or power?

The tiptool just says "...a SMALL amount of temporary hit points". No formula in any place.

In my experience: you are not able to see the amount of temp HP in any place. Not in the health bar (just the tiny yellow bar) not any numbers in it, not at the character window, not at the battle log.

The amount looks independent of weapon or power you are wearing, it could (this is a guess) being calculated according to your total HP. It is a really small amount, I would say around 75-100 HPs, but this is also guessing, just looking at the bar proportion between red and yellow.

In any case, the duration is extremely short, about 2 seconds.

The combination of short duration and tiny amount converts the whole effect in completely negligible. (even with Power of life feat at maximun, the amount would increase to 83-110, and if You are thinking to combine with deepstone blessing feat, just think that these temp points most of the times would have dissapeared yet when any effect considered "heal" by the devs (mostly healing word, not the rest, as Devs say they are "regeneration", "recovering HPs", etc, effects and not HEALING) arrives to the party (thanks also to our loooooooongish animations)

Tried doing some more testing and here's what I came up with (I do have Power of Life feat for 10% extra temp HP):

At 2,429 power, my Sacred Flame was absorbing between 313-335 damage.

I then increased my power to about 3,000 and noticed a Sacred Flame range of 328-348. My total HP actually dropped by about 300.

So for now I will conclude that the Temporary Hit Points from Sacred Flame are actually dependent on your Power score and are independent of your total HP.

Considering this value is about 1% of my total HP, I will certainly consider that "a small amount".

If I remember right sacred flame is based of your weapon damage after power calculation, something like 50% of the damage of your last hit with sacred flame is added as temp hp. Not sure though.

I tried comparing the Temp HP that was absorbed to the damage dealt by 3rd hit of Sacred Flame and got ranges from 31-39%.
