Greetings

I have now completed my second quest.

First Quest: Anomalous Readings NW-DT25L46HY
Second Quest: The Banished Realm NW-DBPX6X9JV

In exchange for playing and reviewing these quests I offer some data I collected while making them. I do not know if this data can be found elsewhere on the internet, I was unable to find any in my searches.

This shows most of the strong encounter monsters (the weaker ones I don't think are worth thinking about), their moves and hp at level 31. This information could be useful to those making their own quests, and want
to make a boss or a tough encounter.
Note that not only does monster hp change based on its level, but so do
the attacks it uses.

I'll review both of yours for the review of both of mine. :3 *points to sig* Off to play yours!

Edit: Played/Reviewed Anomalous Readings...here are some notes.

-You should definitely warn people to not solo this...as normally they would get their faces eaten. I managed to plow through with a 60 TR solo, but this was mainly due to good gear and one other thing ...
-With the way your traps are placed, they allow for some odd play. Frankly, they are the only reason I stayed alive, as the enemies would stop at them and I was able to have an easier time picking them off. That doesn't have the best feel about it...
-I really liked some elements...the way you had it all set up had an old rpg-ish feel to it..which to me was a great thing! I did not feel like there was enough backstory given to make me feel like I had a reason to plow through these hordes of orcs, however..so, perhaps giving a bit more backstory/reason to take on this mission in the beginning?
-I liked the way you used simple elements to pull off some of your interesting visuals, but otherwise I did feel details were a bit lacking

...Overall, I think this has a ton of promise! I would be very interested in seeing how it comes along if you are able to take care of some of the above issues, and would be happy to play/review it again. I gave this a 4/5, but I can see it easily hitting 5/5 if some of that is fixed. :)

On to playing your second one now!

Additional Edit: Ok, played/reviewed your second one! This one I actually liked a bit better than the last. It seems like you are possibly planning on continuing this..and I would look forward to that. :)

Overall, battles were not nearly as bad...you can actually walk around most of them, I'm not sure if that was intended. The boss battle was very challenging solo...which was nice for me, but may be too much for many others solo...maybe a warning in the overview? The biggest problem that I had with this one was the search in the beginning...it was a bit TOO tedious..and the main reason why is that there was nothing to break the continuously static environment up. Maybe you could put in some details to spice the terrain up a bit while still keeping that desolate and strikingly evil atmosphere it seems you were aiming for?

Thank you for playing and providing feedback.

I'll get to playing your quests ASAP. I'll definitely have to make some changes then, the difficulty was some thing I played around with quite a bit, seems Its still too hard (the second quest was a lot harder initially). It was intended that you could avoid the encounters, and the bleak/evil atmosphere was not nearly as bleak/evil as I wanted, but this was the best I could do with the foundry.

I would also like to know reviewers thoughts and interpretation on the story.

Edit: played the first quest. The only thing i would change is unlocking the cage, two interactables so close together could be confusing. Its clear a lot of work was put into this, five stars.

Overall, I thought this was a unique quest. I must say that I think that is beyond challenging for a solo player and is very close to the frustrating realm instead. Perhaps you should make this a group quest or thing out the encounters a little bit.

I will PM you with my feedback so as not to spoil anything. :) Thanks for an extremely challenging, yet fun quest.

If you want to review one of my quests they are in my signature. Part 3 is what I am really looking for reviews on at this time, but I will never turn down an honest review for any of them. :) Also, you do not need to have played both 1 and 2 to understand the story and still enjoy yourself. The thread for feedback on Part 3 is http://nw-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?407831-Part-3-Wind-of-the-North-The-Secret-to-Paradise-Will-trade-as-always

    Cheers and happy questing/building! :)

Based on feedback, I have removed the traps in the first quest, and added more direction at the start of the second quest.

Those side rooms in the first quest are supposed to be hard, I want to make optional super bosses. I would like to know if people are having difficulty with the large room with the Orc town, or the final three wave ambush.

In terms of story, i have the first quest exactly as I want it. I don't know what kind of backstory I would need to provide, the employer isn't going to give her life story to some mercenary, and she has no idea what the place is, which is why she's sending you there. The information inside is supposed to be vague, I don't want to spell it out. i would however like to know players thought processes as they spoke to each character; i might need to reword it a bit to help people reach the right conclusion.

I checked out The Banished Realm tonight. I like the simplicity of this story, but I definitely think it needs more detail. I'll leave you more detailed feedback in a PM. :)

I saw that you played Part 3 of my campaign. If you have time to review any of the other quests in my campaign that would be awesome! Info is in my signature as always.

    Happy questing/building. Cheers!
