So me and some friends were messing around in-game, and yes, while that usually means we were getting absolutely nothing done, it also means we did some of our most creative thinking.

Anyway, we were talking about how cool it would be to have adds ourselves instead of letting all the mobs hog them. The idea is to have some sort of a Summoner class who has a couple of scrub-tier attack and control powers, then a bunch of encounters that summon monsters to fight for you, and the dailys? well, we can just imagine what those will do.

There are some pretty awesome paragon paths you could think up for this class too, my personal favourite being necromancer, just because undead, but if the game ever progresses past 1 path per class you could get something like a dryad.. or something.. and have, like... trees and squirrels fight for you.. i guess.

Anyway, the exact details don't matter cause it's just an idea, but i would love to see it developed and implemented, and i'm sure most of you out there would as well.

Should be able to summon old bosses you killed as mini versions. omg if I can summon draco at lvl 60 but they'll probably be dumb and useless like striker companions.

The only class that has a companion that has already been created by Wizards of the Coast in Dungeons & Dragons 4th edition is the Shaman (Primal Leader).

There is a build of the ranger in one of the Martial Power books that has a pet.

I would love a classic D&D 3.5 summoner. Summon nasty stuff from other dimensions that can backfire horribly.
