So the main reason I've taken a break from this game, is because of the disappoint in the lack of classes to play. I've noticed every other week that they manage to update the cash shop, but where are the classes? Kinda disappointing to see the series I love just get turned into a pale shadow of what it could be.
So the question: Where are the classes?

It takes a lot less work to create and add a companion or mount than it does to add a fully fleshed-out class, with all the gear models, powers, fests, and so on.

Also most of the items added to the Zen Store were completed prior to open beta.

Your statement is definitely true, but the question is a valid one. The game launched with the current 5 classes and it was said at one point that they almost had the 6th class ready when the game released. Now we are told that they are hoping to release a class before the end of this year. I don't know about you, but I remember loot dropping for Scourge Warlocks in open beta. Although this was clearly a mistake, I still held out some hope that it was well on it's way. With all the talk about the Ranger I can only assume that it will be first, which doesn't really matter to me. I was just hoping that there would be more of an open agenda pertaining to what the game was going to offer over the next few months.
Fury of the Feywild looks like it will be an ok expansion, but it will be very interesting to see how long it will hold up as far as keeping people interested in the game goes. I constantly see 2 things that people really want for this game on the forums. More classes and or more paragon paths. And from what I have been reading so far, Fury of the Feywild does not address any of those desires. I love the D&D franchise and I want to see this game succeed but I am not sure that it can do so over the long run if the only thing to look forward to is more cash grab companions and mounts, as opposed to more things that the fan base actually wants.

I didn't start early enough in the open Beta to see any Warlock or Ranger stuff, so I can't speak to that. I've heard people state different things regarding the classes, so maybe what they did have done was really rough.
Don't get me wrong - I have 1 character of each class at 60, so I'm itching to try a new one.
