Righteous Cleric? Pros and Cons

So currently my cleric is spec for Righteous Cleric. Now I do pretty well in PVP as I am always in the top 3. However, I want to be awesome at healing as well. I don't use divine power often as I feel slow with it. I am wondering if I should respec her or keep righteous? Does anyone else play Righteous? Is it gimped? Or pretty BA.

My cleric has the same spec and I rarely die in dungeons be it CN or T2 , Healing step OP .

I am currently using a Righteous spec and I really like it for PvP. It is the most survivable of the three branches I have tried for PvP purposes and does good damage if you are equipped for the spec and using a dot damage build - my preference. I tried the other lines but it is the best spec for me given the dynamics of current PvP. It has allowed me to play much more aggressively although you will still have many of the disadvantages of playing a cleric in today's PvP. It seems pretty solid in dungeons, although I would still go the healing tree if I wanted maximum performance as a healer in dungeons - but that is just my opinion.
    Aurelian - Guardian Fighter (Main)
    Metellus - Devoted Cleric
    Gallianus - Control Wizard
    Septimus - Great Weapon Fighter

    Agreed.

You can have some absolutely astonishing fights with a Righteous Devoted Cleric. The Righteous Devoted Cleric is a superstar when it comes to burning people down with Punishing Light.

Friendly to those with a low Gear Score who want to farm up some Astral Diamonds, the Righteous Devoted Cleric will chew through mobs like there is no tomorrow.

The Repurpose Soul heals along with Astral Seal means a Righteous Devoted Cleric can get away with three dps Encounters through all but the toughest of fights.

Virtuous Devoted Clerics bring quite a lot to the table but they need to do it in a group environment to really shine.

The Faithful Devoted Cleric is champion at pushing a die-hard party through some really difficult situations.

Whichever you choose there are ways to set your character up to have some of the most awesome fights you can imagine.

Righteous fights are some of the most fun and since you don't really need a group to mow stuff down it makes for a fine choice for grinding for loot, solo'ing low-level dungeons, pvp, foundries and PUG dungeon crawls.

Having the extra Divinity comes in really handy for burning things down with Punishing Light.

Righteous Devoted Clerics can be a little bursty thanks to the crit but Punishing Light gives you a burst whenever you need it.

Probably the best decision a Righteous Cleric can make is to befriend a Great Weapon Fighter. This is a duo that can do just about anything.
