Collecting Nodes - Getting gray items only?

So I am doing my "node" run which is basically me wandering all over the the place collecting skills nodes getting materials, and suddenly I am now only getting one gray item per skill node. It has not stopped for 15 mins. Did they put a cap on skill node collecting?

I mean I really do not mind the access amount of gold from selling the grays, but why is this happening?

They did indeed put a cap on node gathering. Stop gathering for a few minutes and try again and it should work fine (is hearsay).

Why do you think it's happening? The same reason anything happens in this game.

Since you're so savvy, please do explain to me how doing this increases PWI's profits.

I'm not sure, enchants cost more money, people can't afford them, buy zen to get AD to buy enchants?

To be fair, I don't think cryptic did this for money, the problem is I don't really know why they did it at all. It may have been to punish botters, but then they should've thought of a solution that doesn't punish everyone else in the same haul. The ironic thing is that it's only characterbound, so a bot could easily just switch characters every 10 minutes and keep going forever.

Thanks for the replies. I guess its understandable why they did this, I just do not like to stop.. but maybe I will just fight some random mobs and level a random companion until my cap is lifted in order to cont.

People were making too much money selling enchants, and also there were tons of duping exploits which made enchants cheaper to buy. So they began removing profession nodes from the game, and making the ones that remained give less worthwhile rewards the more you utilize them. Simple.

If you want to shove your fingers in your ears and pretend that everything's fine, that's fine with me Mr. Ironic Caps-Lock. He asked a question, I answered. Sorry I offended your delicate sensibilities.

They should remove the "Professions" event then if we can't use it to it's full potential. I don't even get 1/2 way through the event and I'm capped. That's like putting up DD event and only allowing one dungeon then DD is over for you. Or PVP, doing 1 maybe 2 matches then no more bonus glory for you. If they are going to cap one event, cap them all.
