So installed Arc today and well I don't get the point

Yes it has some good features but why have a place to keep most of Perfect Worlds games. Not all of them which is the first problem and the games are not kept up to date, each game still needs to be patched in its own launcher. You still have to sign in to the games even when you are signed into Arc with the same account.

I hope they can fully integrate it so that Arc manages all the content and keeps your games up to date.

Arc would have to let me automate professions before I give a **** about it :P

Arc lets me sign into my games automatically when i click play. Dont have to have different shortcuts on my desktop for the different games freeing up the clutter there.

I expect, at one point, Arc will become mandatory.

This is just the introductory phase. Something for us to get used to it, before the hammer falls.

It's no different (an integrated common launch platform) than a lot of F2P companies are doing these days.

I'd consider downloading it if Neverwinter was part of the CORE system and I received bonuses from it. Otherwise, it's just bloatware.

Well, if you just play Cryptic games you can start them all from the same launcher without Arc. Just select "show all games" in the launcher options.

And for people who play only 1 PWE property, it's just bloatware.

I've been testing and it could be good but it needs a lot of polish. There are some things I like about it, like single sign on, but a lot more that I don't, but those could be ironed out.

I'm looking for a feedback forum. I thought I saw a link to it on install, but can't find it now. If anyone could provide a forum link or direction to proper feedback I would appreciate it.

It is not bloatware as it barely uses any resources. It uses 2 proccesses and 80 megs of ram

    Unnecessary is unnecessary.

People who complain about every little thing. Even the smallest detail destroy the fun of those that do want to play the game. Skype uses more

Unhappy customers ruin things for the happy ones? Nonsense. You're comparing Skype to a program that for plenty of people does absolutely nothing to justify installing it? More nonsense.

    Arc should be optional.

It does more than you think. Stop complaining and leave then if you are unhappy with things here.

I already have Steam for most of my games, I don't need a ripped-off version of it for PW games.

Steam sucks and is more of a bloatware as some people call it. Arc is more stream lined. I am actually using Arc right now to post this msg.

Or, you could stop complaining about the complainers, in someone elses thread. If you're unhappy with the way another player's thread is going, you can stop complaining and leave as well.
TL : DR? Then don't waste my time responding.

How about NO. Arc uses less resources that other stuff out there. I'm using the arc browser right now and it uses less than chrome or IE

Does it allow the use of 3rd party enhanced security add-ons?
Does it allow the use of 3rd party dictionary add-ons?
Does it allow the use of 3rd part ad-blocker add-ons?

Because any "browser" that doesn't allow all of that isn't a real browser, and is a security liability with direct access to potentially sensitive personal data.

Bwahahahahaha you are funny. Why would it need any of that considering you can only use the browser for perfectworld games. So it would only have what the perfectworld site offers while on their site. Can't do any browsing outside of that.

and ofc PW websites are always 100% secure, right?

No website is ever secure no matter what they claim.

How do you know what security the perfectworld site uses. Between the site using another browser and using the arc browser, I would be surprised if it wasn't using the same security

tell me more about how, using ARC and the game client, takes less than using only game client.

Arc is a beginning stage of something like steam, obviously its still in very early testing stages and probably should not be used by anyone who doesn't like it conceptually and or ONLY plays NWO.

Id like to see NWO,STO and CO become an active part of CORE as I like using core mainly to store pictures I link in forums and to friends. as of now I cant add NWO chars or see my NWO guilds.

Id like to see more NWO specific incentives for using Arc/Core.

The web browser interface is clunky id prefer a smaller window opening up so I can still watch chat/rp if I wanted a full screen browser Alt-tab or window mode is much more efficient. and of course if I want to craft inside the game....um the ingame crafting window is better than gateway.

also it would be nice if there was a search for everyone on my friends list/guild/ facebook lisst(if connected) function for adding friends but maybe that when come if they add NWO to core.

At the very least it needs to launch the game client directly and not launch the launcher of the game with a kludge auto-login. That may be an interim step. Does anyone know if there is a feedback forum for this rather than just general discussion?
