Looking for the best combinations for PVP however I do want to start farming more T2 gear so some other options or a hybrid between pvp and pve would also be good

Was thinking

a mix between Vig set and Avatar of war set?

vig/Ava or Ava full set. That two is the best options.

Full avatar. Onslaught is significant when it activates. Vig/Ava if you don't have the AD or time to save it up. Otherwise, hunt in the epics, that's how I got my full Ava.

For PvE 2pc Vigilant / 2pc Avatar is my preference. For PvP, I still prefer the Heroic Duelist. 3k or so heal over 10sec everytime you pop Unstoppable is just too good to do away with.

    If you're well-specced, crit.

Because having zero Recovery is smart?

Go with Vig/Avatar 2 and 2. basically the exact same as 4 Avatar's, just you'll lose some power BUT will always have a high Recovery and not need to count on the 4 piece bonus giving you Recovery.

    Crit > Power.

Though Heroic gives you survivability, it doesn't give you the power you need to go against tougher players in PvP. Try the Berserker set instead, can't beat that 5-second reduction in cooldown to powers.

    Crit > Power.

But you're talking like 400 crit compared to 1350 power and recovery? Pretty significant difference there.

That's why I have Battle Awareness. I opted for a set whose bonus I can use more often, since we pop Unstoppable more than Dailies in PvP. Not to mention that this bonus only works on recharging Encounters, meaning you have to keep your eyes focused on your bar to micro manage this effect, rather than focusing on your targets. Like I said, it's just my preference, certainly not for every GWF setup.

More like pretty INSIGNIFICANT difference. 400crit near the soft cap is like 1%. With a Stone/Cat + 2vig/2avatar you are pretty much at crit soft cap. I would take the Recovery over crit at this stage.
