Can someone please explain to me why people are buying up leadership resources (refugee's, maps, marks etc.). I assume it is to do the quests that give AD and large boxes.... in the end it looks like it is for the large boxes. What could you possibly get in there worth it.

I don't know anyone that buys that stuff since the prices are beyond reasonable. takes 15 refugees to do the rare...I have seen prices of 3k per refugee? Say what? 45k AD so I can earn 1.6k and a chest? ummm...heeaalll nah.

The only time I've bought the leadership resources was during the double AD event. 600AD for a Mining Claim to do a task that (for the event) rewarded 3.2k, otherwise I've no idea why people would bother.

Only reason to buy them would be a need for XP, such as leveling up a new pet or an alt character in a hurry. For example the refugee quest gives a pretty solid XP reward. I could care less: I make more diamonds selling the mats than doing the diamond yield quests and if people buy them....
refs are down to 450 atm though on my server. Which is not too bad, I can get like 50 of them in a week doing those quests when I sleep, free money. My current scheme is much, much, more profitable so I haven't done the ref farming as hard core lately.

During double diamond weekend I bought some mining claims and still came out tons of diamonds ahead. But you just have to weight the cost vs the profits vs the time spent before buying the materials. 3200 diamonds for 1k spent worked for me.

I simply do not see any reason for anyone to buy these. I was wondering if I was missing something. They are all used for the rare quests with 1600 AD and very large box... but nothing comes out of that box worth anything.

the box *can* give you resources to sell that offset the investment some. But meh, I think its AD-rich folks leveling pets and alts, possibly punching the finish now button if they have a really big AD supply. And some folks do have many millions upon millions of AD.

I buy region maps, if they are under 300 ad each, because the collect taxes leadership is worth 800. Not too much to do in leadership, so I do that one.
TL : DR? Then don't waste my time responding.
