A new Class Feature for the CW class

I've been playing NW, (Neverwinter) for some time now, this isn't my first account, on my first account I played a CW, and that was when the Zen market was a bit more expensive than what is now known today.

So when I made my new current account, (This One <----), I made it right around the time they dropped the prices in the market and unfortunately didn't take advantage of it. So up until recently, I finally saved enough Zen to buy a token. So After Playing the TR and GF this whole time, I immedietly created a CW, and I'm currently leaving the empty character slot for when a new race becomes available to play.

So continuing on, after playing the CW for awhile, it seemed, to be less "exciting" after playing a CW months beforehand, so now that I see that the studio is soon to be releasing new content, and since this game is technically now live. I would like to add a suggestion for the CW class when they make new paragon paths and introduce them into the game that we know of so far.

When you reach halfway to 60 you get an option to choose a paragon path, and of course these paragon paths have their own powers and feats and whatnot, so if they introduce a new path with new powers and class feats, then I would like to suggest a new class feature.

This class feature would give an alternate effect to the Shield Power that the CW currently has.

For example,

Instead of giving a Dam. Res. buff and have it decrease for every time that it diminishes and having a Push effect on second-cast, I would like to suggest that it gives a Life Steal Buff and a Life Drain Effect on second-cast.

It would work like this, in theory...

Lets say you have this class feature activated, and for argument sake lets say that your Shield Power is in your Spell Mastery Slot.

When you first cast it, it gives let's say +100 Life Steal, (#s will be simple so the concept could be understood)

And every time you get hit, it diminishes in effectiveness, so one hit makes it +75 and the next to +50 and finally to +25 in effectiveness.

And when you second-cast this new alternative Shield Power, it gives a "Life Drain" effect, based off your affected oppenents HP amount.

So lets say when an opponent has 100% HP, you drain 25%

Or if they have 75%, you drain 20%

Or if they have 50%, you drain 10%

And finally at 25% HP, you drain 5%

But here is the catch... The more this new Shield Effect is diminished, the less effective this "Life Drain" will be.

So technically you could possibly life Drain at around; 25-20%, 20-10%, 10-5%, or even this 5-0%, at the same value of the enemy having 100% / 75% / 50% / 25% HP.

So the CW is a CC and Striker style class, and how this new alteration would work in a PvP setting is like this,

When someone has the new effect, and they were to use this power in a situation where they wanted to "Push" everyone away (Basically being surrounded by the whole team), they would second cast this ability and drain a % of all the effected targets in the burst range instead.

In an indirect way, they are CC'n the enemy team by draining life from them and giving a % of their HP back to the CW, giving the CW the chance of redemption and letting them have the HP needed to get out of that situation to attack the group from a different approach or just to run away.

And what will be interesting if this new system were to be implemented into the game is, is that instead of receiving a defensive buff, they are giving it up and are trading it for a more offensive style version of the power spell and have to sacrifice the chance of being protected by a barrier and instead rely on it to keep them alive.

Also, its a "class feature" power, so you can slot it and un-slot it if you want to switch between Def. Buff or Life Steal Buff.

Of course this idea wouldn't make sense, Shield is an Arcana effected type of Power and receives benefits for Arcane Mastery Stacks and whatnot, so how would this new ability be affected with the CW's current spells? So what do you think should be added to help benefit or alter the CW class if they added new paragon paths with new encounter/daily/ and class features to the classes?

I started liking CW infinitely better when I found out I could always dodge a TR's stealthed lashing blade.

Yeah, unless you live in europe and have this nightmare latency ruining those dodges most of the time.

Most TRs don't even use lashing anymore , you just get CoS-ed and then stun locked by Impact shots - cyyaaa dead CW .
