Just played 2 PvP games in a row with excact same 5 man team, and both games not a single enemy left from spawn point. Filling up an exploit report already...

...but could we please have a inactivity timer, with 2 mins of inactivity, and autokick without any rewards.

Dedicated botters will get around anything they put in, but it would slow them down and probably discourage normal people from botting. In the end there is no substitute for a dedicated staff who goes around banning these people, and that isn't going to happen in a Cryptic F2P MMO.

The only problem with making the boot attached to activity is the bots themselves. They could just macro a program to make them w..a..s..d..(space)..w..a..s..d.

    By definition, they are "active".

I could be wrong but if they don't move, they don't score: I would propose making it based on score. If you have no points after (x seconds/minutes) it boots you. Even when I was low level and clueless (still am but hey) I got at least some points immediately.

Personally, I think that if you stay up above in the spawn area (where no players can get to you) for more than say, 45 seconds or so (no matter if you're moving around or not), you immediately get booted out of the match and get flagged as a botter.

Of course it needs some safeguards and such, but...I think it might be a start.

I think basing rewards on score would solve most of the problem. You may still have griefers purposefully afking just to mess up a game, but it should drastically reduce the people doing it for rewards.

Not sure if it's an exploit, but one match a GW was in our graveyard, pounding us and keeping us there. If he used a power, they need to change it so it's instant death when the other side gets up there, or something more serious.

Getting really tired of playing against a team of 4 bots and one human. While playing with at least 2 bots on my team. This is taking the player out of PvP and is making me quickly lose interest in one of the most fun aspects of the game. I haven't heard of Cryptic doing anything about it yet.

I'm testing something and it may work:

I try to add every "suspected" bot to my ignore list, perhaps this will prevent me from getting queued with them in the same team afterwards.

ignoring someone does not prevent you from queueing for PvP with said person, either on same team, or against

the rewards are already based on score, unfortunately. Besides making it mandatory wehave to have bots in the groups (cant kick bots), their biggest mistake was doing just that. Herein lay the problem.

A gf sacrifices himself running to the back node, to face 3 enemies there. He knows he wont kill all of them (not decked out etc) but he can last a very long time. 2 cw's and a healer. However, he manages to last a full 30 seconds, the enemy is stupid enough to keep 3 people on him.
That in mind, the other four people on his team now face a 4v2 in their favor, get and keep the other two nodes, and slaughter those two opponents easily.
GF dies. The most important person in this, was the gf that sacrificed himself for the team to get an advantage.
The 3 idiots on the other team, got participation points, and the other 4 on the gf's team, got nodes, and kill points etc.
but the GF by the rewards system gets nothing.
That solution of yours they already did, and it was a stupid idea when it was put on forums, and shows the level of stupidity of the cryptic staff for enforcing it.

It stopped griefkicking, that's good. But they completely misjudged the sheer amount of bots in the game.

Are you sure? Anyway you (or someone) can explain how rewards are calculated? I've been #2 or #3 on the list several times and walked away with almost nothing. Granted my Kill score is low and my deaths are high but my assists are way up there, usually one of the highest on the board.

You need 500 points to get any glory, which you won't get sitting at the spawn all game. The bots will actually run around, if it never leaves the spawn it's likely a real person who is afk.

never been in a pvp anything on this game yet but
ignore worked lovely on other games plus why doesn't admin just implement a reset timer on the pvp instance your referring to.
once u enter your qued in timer
after 10,20,30,40 mins your automatically boot
    no if,an,or buts
after booted or you leave on your own your prevented from reentering that pvp instance or area for 10 mins party or no party.
its worked on other games and pretty successfully at that..
that is if they really want to fix it.
there has been cases of player/GM buddy buddy stuff on many games. " please not saying this is the case" all mmo's accept this as a possiblity
I'll gladly volunteer " I will never enter a pvp anything grant me a seer "100% never can be harmed" I'll stay stealthed 100%.
to me gaming is actual.gaming is behind the scene. and its not about praise.
many unsung heroes are nameless and faceless.
seers are powerless nameless faceless and powerless. they see something not normal
they escalate it to those that can do something.
thus easing manpower which can be used else where....
I've played uo "seer" way back. 9dragon,lotro,swtor,lotro,wow since the 80's.
I'm 44 and enjoyment to me helping others "advise",helping others "unseen to get the filth" from destroying money pits.
as always. thick skin and knows the role.
    peace...

yes, I am 100% certain. you have to get a minimum amount of glory around 500 in order to get anything. Then you get points based on the scalings of lowest, to highest (based on difference between person with most points, and person with fewest points). I don't have a calculation of it, nor did cryptic post it. but cryptic did post that rewards are based on performance, which is now why your team can win a match, and people winning the match, can get 0 rewards

also dragon server, teddy bear is the char I pvp with the most. I know you from pvp. There is no need to use all your encounters by spam, and then have nothing left. time them for when needed only to control.
