This was my first quest I made, and there is still some work to be done like the final edit of the dialogue.

But I think its time to get some feedback.

There is a side quest option at the end, that gives you little hints to the next follow on quest.
And aid should you need help in some of the battles.
A puzzle in the way of questions, but the wrong answers has repercussions.

This is a solo quest, there is no real hard battles, like suggested there might be with help, but the story will explain why.

Thank you for your time, happy to reciprocate!

Updates:

I had a list of updates, but when editing this post I lost them. When saving.
So I will just add what I did today.
-=-
v.8 - 14/0713
Moved the spawn location at the start, away from the exit door
Added encounters to the last test, like in the feedback I had.
Renamed a lot of encounters, and outfits
Edited some small text, the main dialog text still needs to be done, If anyone would like to go over them, I have them in open office file.
-=-
v.8 .A - 14/07/13
Changed the magic fields, so they don’t just disappear but split to let you pass, but will disappear as you enter the rooms.
Moved some items, as some was overlapping others
The issue i had when I first published the quest, of one of the line of sight on one of the doors is now fixed.
Changed one of the Gnoll encounter groups
Changed some of the other effects
Hopefully fixed the issue when you help the blessing at the altar, with the point floating away and not feeling you’re not taking part of it.
Edited some text
-=-
v.8 .B - 14/07/13
Moved the spawn spot again, still people are pressing exit when they enter, loll
And turned Norma's patrol points and locations a bit
-=-
v.8 .C - 15/07/13
Many text and dialog edits.
The spawning on dialog has been changed.
Changed Norma and her guards
Added some deco to the horse stable, with some changes that fit in with the story
Moved some more encounter groups, from walls
The altars doors will be locked till the blessing of the magic fields are done.
The horse will not wander around on the side quest, and added some food for it when you come back.
Added an animation to the side table, on the side-quest
Changed the meeting with Lai Lindgren a bit
Added the end quest mini objective that was mentioned in the dialog
Removed items that were not needed
Updated the side quest a bit
-=-
v.8 .Ca - 15/07/13
Fixed the issue of the two Norma's spawning, I forgot to remove the old copy when i added the new one.
And changed a guard group that was not arranged
-=-
v.8 .D - 16/07/13
Lots of changes to the side-quest, and other main quest things, so much to talk about
When you use the wand on Lai Lindgren, it will stay with you, and not brake.
Changed the size of reach point on the objective Look around the altar room
The first time Norma offers help will be on the objective Speak to the Alargeist's and not on the objective after.
Removed the second door in the side-quest as felt it was not needed.
Changed the way Norma offers help the second time.
And finally added music, to the quest, let me know what you think.

(If you have help from Norma and her friends, and any are still alive they will stop following when they have done what they have come to do, and fade away.)
-=-
v.8 .E - 19/07/13
Some text edits.
The side doors in the altar room will now close when on the objective Help with the blessing.
And the effects and items in the side rooms will be on Dialog sets, to disappear.
The screen shake has been changed to stop when you reach the doorway, and not the next objective.
Changed the way you join in with the blessing, so I hope this new way works better.
-=-
v.8 .F - 21/07/13
Changed some of the dialog
Added an item to the altar, I forgot.
Some of the doors that were set to close at the end of the quest are not set on the objective complete and not dialog.
-=-
v.8 .G - 21/07/13
Changed the name on the altar piece
Wood has been added to the floor when you accept the side-quest.
The dresser with the wand inside for the side-quest will spawn on the right dialog now, it used to work fine, but if someone picked the option to just get the reward found it would still spawn, but they was missing the main item.
Added more deco and effects to the side-quest
Updated some spelling mistakes
-=-
v.8 .H - 27/07/13
Changed Norma guard on the side-quest a bit.
Moved Normas path on the end of the quest.
Looked into why the music was not playing on the side-quest, and fixed again I hope.

Just Finished playing your quest and wrote comments as I go along

The three rooms have basically the same encounter type in it. If you want you could mix that up some
The final question from the ghost if you get it wrong, no adverse outcome unlike the other questions. You'd think getting the final question wrong you'd be in bigger trouble!
With the help with the blessing part of the quest, the blessing point was floating away from the statue, so my character was in an awkward spot when doing it. Didn't look like I was participating.

I did not do the side quests, just didn't have time today.

I liked it, shows how creative people can be with the foundry. In the main story line the difficulty level was a little low, which is fine, since i'm not sure how hard the side quests are. Good job with your first quest, no crazy bugs or anything. Well done!

If you feel like it and have the time, NW-DPJ8F64F8 "Master Wa", though it may be a bit on the crazy difficult side so if you are higher level bring a friend.

If you have any specific questions feel free to PM me

I have been thinking about adding some to the last question. But I'm at the limit. So I might have to move some around.

The part where you take a place was why it took me to get it out for people to leave feed back. So I had hope it would be ok . Or someone might make a suggestment to fix.

And the 3 rooms I'm not sure. As the encounters are not the same and the objects only 2 are the same buut not as one is left and the other is right.
Or you mean just in gen there the same. Like set up

I know more now then I did when I started it. It was just to be a user friendly quest. A jump in daily maybe

Thanks for the feedback I willl work on your comments

I'm away till next week so I will do your quest then or if I get chance in the morning

    Ps sorry for my spelling

I liked your quest, the puzzles were cool with nice negative results if you get them wrong, and the dialog flowed well. The fights were a little to easy for my taste but all in all it was good.

@daduty Thanks, I know what you mean about the fights, but I wanted something for the jump in player, the Side-quest are for the people who want a bit hard fights, its funny, as the cat was added to offer help, as some people was saying the main fights was hard, ie the Alargeist's and the Side-quest.

Thank you for the feedback and i have noted it, if more say its to easy i will have to rethink..

Hey Visual, so here are my thoughts :)

I think you have a decent story line and the mechanisms you used (adverse effects for rushing through interactables therefore getting questions wrong) were great. Here are some of the things I noticed.

A lot of your conversations with the ghost had extensive use of the possessives when they should have been plurals. For example "what's and how's" should be "whats and hows." "creature's" should be "creatures." You get the idea. Just go through and polish that up a bit.

When you take your spot along the altar and click the interactable it faces you the wrong way when praying.

I know it's a solo adventure, at least I think it is (no description in the quest overview), but when my wife and I played it she got stuck behind one of the doors when I rushed ahead to talk to the ghost. I'm assuming you have them shutting on dialogue prompt. You may need a back door type of situation (hide a portal or just don't close the doors). Even if it's a solo adventure people will still play together and you might get knocked for that.

The screen shake went on for too long as you made your way out. There are two FXs that cause screen shake that I know of. The dust ring FX that I can hear and the Large Falling Dust (or Dirt - not sure which one) FX. Using any of the other falling dust particles would alleviate that, but that' a personal choice.

Overall though, I really liked it. Just needs some polishing, which you obviously realize because you labeled it beta :)

@delrachnid Thanks for the comments, on the quest log it should say that the text is not in its final edit. and some other things at the bottom, when it comes to text i can do so much, as i have dyslexia. so the text i will get sorted asap.

With the take your spot along the altar, I don't know what to do there, I have been thinking about using some other item, as if you face the altar and click you face the right way. but if you click to one of the other sides, you will face the wrong way.

Yes it is a solo, I might have to add that in then, it never a cured to me.

I do things for solo as i dont have others to test group things, it like the side quest is more a harder fights, made for duo. or to just get from the easy fights, and a set up for the 2nd part of the quest.

The doors I don't know what to do there, but i have noted it.

and screen shake I will fix asap. i guess it was only the after the blessing of the altar you mean.

again thanks for the feedback, when i fix these things i hope you both will run again to see. as it good to get a duo view.

Played and reviewed. - I would enjoy more details on the map, but the mechanics are solid and I found no glitches or wierd bugs. The riddles certainly added to the quest :)

    PS.
    I fixed the tilted portrait!

@lolsorhand I'm glad you enjoyed it, and I will let Jewel know about the portrait. as i know the 2nd quest he is not too happy with some of the other mess. lol

I'm not very good with deco, i can do basic, i guess you mean in the side-quest part, or do you mean all of it. as i put some time in every place by the old cells.
