Fury of the Feywild Question.

I was wondering about the new Expansion that is going to be released on August 22nd, will this be one of the many packs that have to be purchased in order to experience the new content and race, or will the developers allow players play this expansion with limited items? Just wondering because I've waited for this since I first heard about this new content release and honestly it would a huge letdown to have to pay for this.

So that is my question and I think others are wondering also. Probably not.

    You can play it without paying for it.
    You don't need the packs in order to play the Module.

    Oh thank you. I was about to say. I've wait this long for nothing xD.

    So is the Hero of the North pack the same thing or is just like a boost to starting the game?

    Yeah, the Hero of the North and the Guardian packs are the same thing. They give you items that help you out and/or have a look that is unique to those packs.

    Anyone know if moon elves will be free?

    The wording on the packs says that you get the "unique moon elf race". Unique as in different from moon elves that those that don't have the pack will be using, or unique as in you have to buy the pack to play moon elves?

    Sun Elves will be free and Moon Elves will be part of the pack. They are two variants on the same race (Eldarin).

    If I bought the Pack today could I make a Moon Elf character now or do I have to wait for the release Aug 22?

    You have to wait until August 22 for the race to become available Live.

    The site is confusing on it though, not surprisingly.

    The expansion page says you an play the Moon and Sun Elves. It doesn't even suggest you have to pay for the Moon Elves.
    MOON & SUN ELVES
    Play as the epitome of intelligence, grace and resilience as one of the new elf races! Both will come with unique racial powers and stat bonus selection.

    They really need to work on clarity, this same type of issue came up before launch with the North packs. They weren't being clear, or had contradictory info in multiple places.

    PWE will not clarify because these things are new and exciting and if they said "Buy it now and we will give it to you in a month!" they would lose %75 of sales.

    Hmm really What is unclear when you go to the purchase page that clearly on the big button says Pre Order.
    Do MMO players of today really need so much hand holding?

    Yes Obviously from the complaint threads most MMO Players of today do need to have thier hands held.
    A big Shame really. I miss the days of intelligent players figurring out difficult challanges together.
