forum title-no "group settings" in CP

Yes, I've searched the answer, and I've seen 100 posts that say "group settings" but, I don't HAVE a group settings section in my User CP.
I've logged out and back in like 6 times, including completely closing my browser just in case. I still don't have that section, and I cannot change my title.
Any suggestions??

    maybe youre in no user group and thus the option doesnt show

    How does one get in a group? It seems silly, for someone who pays for the pack that comes with a title, to have to find a way to join a group to use it. This process needs to be simplified if that's the case :(
