It seems like the only way I ever get killed by a boss is when I'm in the middle of casting a spell and he drops the red on me. They seriously need to make it so you can SHIFT out of casting, it's extremely frustrating beyond belief to know the boss' only way to defeat you is a flaw in the mechanics of the game.
It's already designed so most spells require you stand still, but to make it so you freeze up like a deer in headlights when you are casting makes you completely vulnerable to stupid. Please fix this and make it more viable.
If you want to penalize someone for stopping a cast, put a cooldown on it when you stop it, but don't kill me because i was simply doing what my class does...
I think it would be more fun and efficient if the mobs/bosses in general didn't spam (or at least every dam attack) was a red floor. What game is this: Neverwinter Nights or Dance Dance Revolution?
I'm not sure what idiot came up with the concept for NPC abilities, but it is not fun in any regard (worst mechanic ever in any game I have played: The every attack or multiple NPCs all doing red floor abilities at the same time). I barely have enough time to react and evade, attempt to resume combat with maybe activating one ability and then evading again, all in the span of less then 10 seconds. Repeat the cycle.
You can dodge away out of casting. It puts the spell in cooldown without casting it but you are alive. Doing it every time with Steal time on my CW.
It's true you can interrupt casting of Steal Time, but Chill Strike and Entangling Force lock you in place (not sure about others). Problem is some of the red circles go off faster than the spell animation, one shotting you sometimes (or the mobs finish the job while you are trying to stand up). I wouldn't mind if the spells went on CD if I could move to stay alive and attempt to cast them again later.
