This is a fairly depressing situation, a good game made almost unplayable.
I have yet to find a good solution to it, while spending roughly 2 hours per day trying to fix it.
I have narrowed it down to my network, I hope...
Seems to me by looking at the nettest and the tracert:

... that there seems to be less juice in the game's network then what is possible.
This may be caused by several different things, probably their netcode for starters.
Second, it might handle different on different network adapters.
Currently i'm using PCIe GBE Family controller (I can't say exacly what chip I'm using since I honestly dont know)
And I've been tesing with my girlfriends stoneage laptop which uses PCIe FE Family controller for wired connection and Atheros AR9002WB-1NG for wireless connection.
On her computer the game runs flawless, except for the graphics ofcourse.
And this is with both connections.
On mine, which in most cases always been the stronger connection off the two comps is far behind.
This has also been tested with minimal graphics, direct connection to the isp (no router), disabled on-demand patching, different proxy servers, compability mode, fiddling with network settings to increase performance, tried through ipv4 and through ipv6, optimizing pretty much everything to get it to flow nicely.
So the question remains... what should I do?
There's a few stuff i haven't tried yet, since i read from some thread that there might be a second batch of files running at the same time that shouldn't be, and deleting them should fix it.
Sadly they didn't mention where those files were located.
Another one said that I should install the game in my users folder... allthough i don't see why it should make a difference.
The lag seems to vary from character aswell, as when i'm playing my guardian the game runs better, slow but no major lagspikes.
When I play my gwf it really depends if I try to do anything usefull, pulling off slam or unstoppable is a no no.
The lag also depends on what area i'm in, pvp is fairly good, foundry fantastic, protector's enclave horrible, dungeons or skirmish horrible (allthough some are okay like cloak tower and cragmire. Dungeons like frozenheart and karrundax being impossible)
Any advise would be appreciated, also from people who have fixed their problem.
Thanks in advance.
same problem as u game plays smooth for a while then bam lag out of no where can barely move and i dont even think about entering instances i lag all over the place proteter enclave is terribble wonder when they will fix these problems for people who run the game with low settings and still get lag HAMSTER
