Endgame TR: Am I doing something wrong?

Hey everyone. I'm an 11.3k TR who is having trouble keeping up with other TR's. I do a lot of T2 dungeons, but I always seem to be out-dps'ed by TR's with similar gear scores. I followed the Metzli's DPS build on the forums and strictly do PVE. I mainly use a rotation of Wicked Reminder/Dazing Strike, ITC, Lashing Blade, and Duelist's Fury for the rest. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, but it's just frustrating seeing other TR's taking down mobs faster and easier than I am. I've attached an image of my gear, stats, and usual dungeon skills. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

If you want to maximize DPS and top charts, I don't understand why you would include ITC in your rotation, since it is a survival tool and contributes nothing directly to your DPS. Also, Wicked Reminder is useful for boss, but a lot of your damage during the whole dungeon run will be on trash. You are lagging other TR because they deal more damage on trash than you did. In a typical dungeon run while clearing trash leading to boss, I use Dazing, Lashing and Path of the Blades (or Blitz) for some AOE. I also frequently time my dazing so that it always try to land on more than 1 mob. Also don't be shy about using Lurkers for trash, you can build up your daily as your fight trash leading to boss.

Have you thought about upgrading your mainhand dagger considering its 470 weapon damage in comparison to T2 main hands that gives 481 weapon damage and Ancient mainhand that gives 492 weapon damage.
What about the enchants in your defensive slots? HP and Defense do inflate gearscore quite a bit. i.e. 14k Guardian Fighters(hp and def from armor)

Wait what? so your telling me that if you pop lurkers(your biggest dps boost), then boss does aoe ice or mobs do aoe disables you sit back with a 60% damage boost and chuck daggers at them? instead of using ItC to sit in aoe and slap boss silly with lurker's?

Only showing us your character sheet without showing us your actual stats (scroll down) and Feats, it's tough to see what you're doing wrong. Gear score doesn't mean sh*t in this game, so showing us only that gives us very little to help you with.

You can start by replacing the entire left side of your character sheet with the Swashbuckling set instead of the 2/2 Master Assassin and Sinister Shade. Going 2/2 only gives you more initial base stats and higher gear score, but full Swashbuckling set gives you 1k+ more Power and Recovery during battle. That Icesh*t Dagger needs to be replaced asap with either a Skulker's mainhand or both of your daggers need to be replaced with the Ancient set if you have the AD.

I can only guess that you don't maximize your DPS because you're not in stealth long/often enough because you don't use Shadow Strike. You need to use Lurker's Assault whenever it's up, especially before you apply the 10th stack of bleed on large HP targets like bosses and elite mobs. Not much more I can help you with unless I see you in action and see your Feats and other stats.

Oh, and yeah, Impossible to Catch is the one of the best Encounters Rogues have both in PvE and PvP.

And, ITC when used on cd while you're in combat gives some nice AP. Hope you're using the 'tactics' class feature for more AP gain as well. Wicked Reminder is awesome. It has a small aoe to it so if adds get grouped up then its gg for you. I replaced blits for it in my rotation cuz blits never seem to hit all the targets in its range and spamming this ability in dungeons helps me more with AP gain than blits as well. Encounters are useful, but what you really need to focus on as a rogue is getting Lurkers up as much as possible. That's why the swashbuckling set is in such high demand, it gives a nice recovery boost to help with AP gain. On bosses, never open with lurkers and duelist flurry, instead, get 4+ stacks of your bleed on the boss first then pop lurkers to finish the 10th stack with the damage bonus. You can only get 2 complete DF rotations during Lurkers and in most cases for me, i get my 10th bleed stack in the 3rd.

Vorpal or Plaguefire? Even though plaguefire is more efficient in cost and gives a nice boost to your dps, if you're partied with another rogue, he also benefits from the debuff that plaguefire gives especially if he has, a more selfish, vorpal enchant. If you can afford a good vorpal enchant then that would be better for your solo dps.

Other than that, try to maintain combat advantage as much as possible. Attacking from stealth has its benefits to crit severity and bonus dmg after its ended if you're feat'd for it. Hope this helps a bit. Cheers
