GF gear enchants question

Hi all,

After getting a rogue and a gwf to 60 and geared up i used my Ads and time to reroll a dps GF. I LOVE the mechanics and im 41 for now.

I have already weap and all gear waiting for me in bank (timeless hero) But i do not wish to go full tene (my gwf is already using 6xnormal tene for pvp) but instead going crit ? power ? armor pen ? i will use R7 and a normal vorpal OR a normal plague fire because i cannot aford more for now ^^

I will offtank and dps a lot with my guild so i look to be still ok for pvp and a good dps in DD.

I personnaly though to go full crit with r7 azure and a vorpal but im afraid i might need sor ArP....

    Armor pen increases your damage much more than power does up until 24% total armor pen(bosses have 24% armor).

    I'm not sure how much you need, though, since my tank GF doesn't touch bosses besides Spider Queen and Draco(after all adds are taken care of).

    and how about crit ? is it better to go higher crit or ArP ?

    by the way what is the cap ArP for a dps GF then ?

    Arpen to around 18-20%(that should get you capped since every DEX point over 10 is 1% extra arpen).

    Timeless has high power and a big crit 4/4 bonus already, so you can really pick either to slot.

    Crit scales horribly for GF. Instead of crit, you should be looking for 2k recovery instead, it puts the Lunging strike on a 6 sec cooldown which is the duration of the timeless hero buff (makes it easier to time your spells).

    As far as I am concerned, I am using a stone as a pet, and all of my critical strike comes from it's runes, which is around 1k crit that makes my crit chance be around 19%, and I have 16 DEX (17 with campfire buff) which makes me reach the cap in arpen at around 1500-1600 (I forgot, but you don't need to stack much), and I am currently looking to replace my gear giving me crit and recovery (I am at 2500 recov which is way too much I found out) for more hp and power (I am extremely pleased with my new rings, the Nightwyrm ring, that gives me power hp and arpen, since I am capped everywhere else and have more than enough crit from the timeless).

    I used to have 2k crit, which was around 24% for me, going up to 3k crit that was something around 27-28% crit, but I dont think all that crit is worth it. Power may be better overall.

    If you do want to get crit though; don't go over 20% crit without timeless buff, it should gives you 25-30% crit with the 3 stacks of timeless and a TR or two in your party, though I think the lower your crit is, the more the timeless hero is effective.

    As for the enchants, I'd run either plaguefire or lightning (currently using a plaguefire and working on lightning).

    Note that those are my personal thoughts, do not take them for a granted truth.

    I'm with Jaeldyn on this one, crit doesn't seem to be worth it on my GF. Recovery has been the key stat to keep my cooldowns as short as possible. I'm love to build a lot more armor penetration, but until such time as I have it higher I'll keep using a plaguefire as a substitute.

    thx for the feedback guys.

    I am lvl 50 today and should be 60 tomorow.

    I have in bank full timeless, scimitar, timeless shield, pyro rings, ancient neck power/crit/aRp, blue crit belt.
    Alrdy 3 dark enchant r7 are slotted in there and when i'll be 60 and playing with stone pet stats i will see if i keep slotting dark or radiant enchants.
