Hi All,

I just hit 60 on my GWF and am looking at my gear.

Is there a general gear set to have ?

I am going to respect. I mainly play PVE

Cheers

Mickey

No, it's not. It'll last you up until you can afford or find T1 gear. T1 gear will last you until you can afford or find T2 gear.

Vigilant is good as a 2x, and AoW = Avatar of War. :)

Vigilant+2pc PVP T2 is arguably best until you can afford 2pc AoW, but it depends on the rest of your gear.

    Avatar of War are so insanely expensive... they go for 600-800K a piece @_@;

I will buy 2 piece pvp set and 2 pieces berserker set. Which you can get cheaply to start yourself off.

PVP gear is T1 gear. Exact same point allocation.

This is what I did when I hit 60:

Buy PvP gear right off the bat and worked my way till I got 8300.
Farmed SP, Karru, Pirate for gears to sell.
Bought the cheapest pieces 2 pc vigilant/berserker
Farmed some more T2 for seals and got Drake stuff for use and some of it I sold
Got enough AD and converted it to zen to buy stone
Boosted my GS around 10kish and started doing CN

Now I'm currently 12k GS with BiS gears with rank 6+ enchants, stone, and have CN on farm. Can't go wrong with the route that I took. But it takes some time. And no, you don't need to spend real money to be a good GWF.

it depends on what your going for.

I tested my butt off on all the trees. I found I like the sent tree the best since I am tanky in both PVP with lots of sustain, and can keep ads of team in PVE.

    my set is
    2 vigilant Helm + bracer
    2 Titan armor + boots
    2 Castle never set.

my gs is 13.7 k. I really like the AoW set but I found that the added crit didn't help THAT much so I just spec'd my enchants and stone into crit to make up for it.
