seriously, why do you not fill the empty slot cryptic? this is a serious flaw in your lacking pvp, and pve in this game. someone leaves group, you lose. period. absolutely no chance to get another player to fill the missing persons position is an aspect of this game that makes your pvp sub par. get with it cryptic. listen to us. if we aren't having fun, we will leave for other games.

sigh, im about to go back to wow cause at least their model works.

    ha, maybe 5% of the time. your point is moot. the fact that we even have to attempt to 4v5 is ridiculous. better to sit back, get a drink/take a HAMSTER. and wait for your daily pvp to finish.

    SO who would want to fill the empty slot? Maybe the guy left for a good reason?

    I leave all the time at the start of a match when a bot is on my team, I let the team know and if they decide to still play the match that's their choice (they can leave too). WOuld anybody really want the queue to pop and put them on a team with a bot?

    Who's to say that the person who fills the slot won't just leave too?

    I think a better way to solve the leaver problem is to add a deserter debuff (maybe 5 min), but before that is done I would love to see the bot issue addressed in some way.

    I like when people toss out some made up number. I have been in plenty of 4v5 fights that were won in the end. So, for me it's more like 80%.

    I won't spout out any made up numbers about the ability of 4 players to beat 5 that depends on the players involved. But once one player leaves it has been my experience that more will soon follow then its more like 2-3 on 5 and I have yet to see that win. WoW has a 15 minute debuff that heavily discourages leaving that seems to work great for shoring up that sort of thing. Now, I'm not advocating that this game should be WoW, it shouldnt, if I wanted to play WoW I would, just pointing out something they do that seems to work.

    As for the bot issue, that seems to be a bigger issue because it seems to be why at least some folks are leaving pvp to begin with and I get that cause bots (*cough* <edit> *cough*) kill the fun for both sides. I'm not a computer whiz by any means, i just play on them but I know other games have been able to fix this sort of thing before.

    For me this should be less about "Grrr Cryptic why aren't you exactly what I want" and more about pointing out problems we find in the game that we feel should be address by the devs. This game just launched so I, at least, am willing to give them some time to fix it. Now should the developers never get around to fixing these issues then it might cause them to lose customers/players but that's the risk of enterprise. For now I guess Ill just start dropping parties too instead of being the last guy trying to slug it out against a team of 5 until these issues get fixed. Well that's my two cents anyways.

    the fact still remains that not being able to get another player when someone drops is dumb. not only in pvp, but also pve. something needs to be done. leaving it like it is will break the game and cryptic needs to realize this.

    There is one good thing about not being able to replace in PVE. You won't get kicked halfway through a CN run because the party leaders friend just logged on.

    In spite of it being pretty terrible that we can't replace leavers, it does carry some advantages really.

    Instead of complaining about people leaving you should be complaining about your party(4) getting 69 kills as opposed to the other team(5) getting 23 and you still loose the fight. Player vs. Player Domination.. Rename it to capture the node... seriously you get more points for standing on a platform then you get for actually killing someone. :confused:

    Why don't they make it 10v10 and give more maps with some balance. Then players won't leave and if 1 or 2 do you can still win a 8v10

    I've gotten thrown into matches early where the enemy already has 2-3 of the nodes. I guess someone dropped and the game thought I would want to join. No idea why it would think that because you're pretty much put into an unwinnable situation since more than likely others will leave as well. So yeah I don't support the idea of the game putting you in matches that are already in progress.

    Here is my easy list to atleast temperarely fix some of the issues with PvP.

    - Add a debuff timefor leavers, 15 minutse without being able to queue for anything should discourage that.
    - If you cant figure out a way to get rid of the bots, atleast allow players to report other players, lets say 8-10 players report another player as a bot, that bot gets a similar debuff, just allot worse, maybe an hour or two. At the same time this person gets added to a list, so that the GM's could actually check this person out.

    - Fix the queue system so that the slot gets filled when someone leaves, sometimes people may have very legitimate reasons for leaving, but it shouldnt ruin the game for everyone else.

    Atleast the first two points would reduce the amount of people leaving by allot, because i constantly see bots, and i see players leaving when they face them/get on their team.

    But the point is people usually leave when they are on a bad team or if the other team outmatches them. This will still happen even if a debuff for leavers happens. Why would I want to be added to a match someone left and the score is at 500-12 or something? I'm totally against having the queue system add me to matches that are already in progress because someone (or multiple someones) left regardless of the reason.

    Sure, there could be certain rules. Like, you wouldnt get added to a game that is over half way finished. You wouldnt be added to a game where one teamis leading by a certain amount.

    For example, this was just off the top of my head, but you catch my drift.

    Well the ones who leave have a pretty good idea of how their team compares to the opponent and you can usually determine that within the first 2 minutes of a match so the score could be 50-0 and you'd have the same result. If Cryptic implements something stupid like this and randomly sticks people in hopeless matches already in progress I'm sure you're see a lot of people just sitting the match out at the campfire so I don't see how that helps.

    It's that very attitude that make 4v5s unwinnable. Everyone's already given up.

    I've seen people drop from a game just because they were down by a few points or some such nonsense. I'm sorry that you got put into a match where you'll actually have to put some effort in for your win, I really feel for your hardship.

    fyi, i always give my all. and many times, i am the top scoring player in the bg's i win, which is more times than i lose.

    to the people saying "why would i want to be put into a match where we are down and someone left?" because you could be the player that helps to turn the inevitable lose into a win.

    i came here from wow. i was bored with wow and hated what they did to pvp and the resilience system/gear. so i canceled my sub and found this game. many times, while doing random bgs in wow, i would join a losing match and because im a good pvper, my "skills" turned the match from a lose into a win. all it takes is people that want to work together.

    we need to be able to replace the person that left and not being able to is a flaw with your pvp that will eventually kill it.

    please fix the problem cryptic, in pvp and pve. i really dont want to park my nw toon for another game because im pissed at what your doing or not doing.

    This is why there needs to be a permanent meter for glory. If a person leaves in a fight, they lose glory. If they stay and lose nothing changes. This would be in addition to the coins system.

    The fix to your problem: The next match.

    Summary: For PvP this isn't a "problem".
