    1. posting names on forums is a big NO NO.
    2. see thread above about reporting hacks/exploiuts. it's stickied.

They would try to help you but I'm afraid that they have too many cases at the moment.

Great, another exploit. Thanks at least for the warning that this might be going on, although the Forum does have a no name and shame policy.

Anyway, I am so glad that I mainly keep doing alts.......

Well you are in trouble for posting names, regardless of reason, in the forums. I'm a little confuse about this because you have to put the item in the auction box and it's taken out of your inventory. That is one hell of a hack if he can change the item after it's been take out of the person's inventory. If it is an inventory quirk, then they will replace it or give you the AD back. You should have also put in a ticket.

    Good luck

already send the ticket, lol i know ppl that get like 24h ban after using the first exploit to gain millions on the auction house, because i called a bad player a name, what they gonna do, ban me, go ahead, gimme the excuse to leave.

This would be a pretty major hack if it's true. This would have to involve hacking the auction house and the mail delivery system. Not to mention some kind of item dup.
Have you considered the fact that you may have bought the wrong item?

Good luck getting them to respond by monday, especially with such a feeble idle threat.
And are you sure you didnt just look at a blue helm but accidently bought the green one?

    I don't blame you OP.

Cryptic is probably never going to be able to help you at this point and sending more tickets won't do anything.

Warn as many people about this guy before this thread gets closed.

Thanks for the heads up about the guy, would've done the same thing given my options.

Thanks for the warning, and why is OP in trouble for showing the name of the guy?

They're not going to ban you, but they will close this thread. I know it's a pain in the behind, but keep kewl, and wait for customer service to contact you.

It never fails, every MMO that opens up is a target for these things. There are lots of opportunities for exploits and bad behavior. Don't blame the game. The real culprits are people.

Forum rule that you cannot shame other players.

OP is quitting anyway since this problem will likely not be solved and so getting that name out as best as he can for others to watch out is the best thing to do before the thread closes.

^^It violates the Forum TOS, something you should have read before making your first post, seeing as how you agreed to abide by it when you created your account. The TOS forbids "Naming and Shaming".

What probably happened is when he tried to snipe the auction, another item was purchased or added and the items list didn't refresh or refreshed as soon as he clicked to place the bid. I doubt a hack on this scale is present or there would be obvious evidence very quickly. I've noticed that the confirmation of buyouts don't always cause the list to refresh, so it's very possible bids don't either.

    This exactly.

If this honestly was a hack id expect more posts and rage about it, and from more players. There is no doubt, something is fishy here. Just not sure its something worth getting up in arms about yet, or shaming other players for.

If you feel there is an exploit that needs to be reported then please report it privately.
Do not post threads to discuss exploits!

That being said I highly doubt this is an actual exploit but I will pass it along none-the-less. If anybody has any further details please report them privately using the in game reporting feature or PMing it to a Community Moderator or Community Manager privately.
