Contacting a GM in-game means nothing?

In previous online games if I encountered a one-time glitch, most notably a quest not advancing or completing despite the fact all requirements had been met, then you could contact a GM and get a response within minutes, sometimes seconds. I had my first instance of a quest not advancing today, so I tried contacting a GM through the in-game help. Sadly, it looks like it's just a fake button, and all it does is submit a bug report. In case I was mistaken I waited around in the quest for a half an hour and got no response. This is severely discouraging.

    I have used the GM feature twice. Both times it took over a week to get a response, and both of them were canned responses referring me to the forum to get tips on how to play the game. I have responded to them and have yet get a resolution to either problem.

    The same thing happened to me. This is really disappointing.
