Money and chest problems while in a party

I've been playing with my buddies and while we're grouped we're not all getting money. We all hear the sound but not everyone is getting the money. Who runs it over does not matter either.

Same issues with chests. Sometime we can all loot a chest, and othertimes whomever's the first to loot it is the only one.

Is there a known glitch or a fix for this? It's completely random. Sometimes we'll all be fine and getting money, and other times we're getting screwed after a 10 minute missions.

We're on the Mindflayer server.

We noticed this last night as well. Sometimes when a party member walks over a stack of coins everyone would see they would get a share of the coins. Sometimes when a party member walks over a stack of coins some of the members would get a share and other members would not get a share. For some reason last night my friends ended up getting a lot more coin than me. Only one time did I see my coin increase while the rest of the night I could walk over all the coin piles and I'd get nothing.

Chests are just annoying. I wish they would either randomly distribute their contents to the whole group, or provide loot for each person like in DDO. Same with the kit/skill interactions. Same with white drops. I wish there was a loot option we could set to have those randomly handed out instead of only first come first serve OR need/greed.

My friends and I were constantly concerned about whether we were being loot ninjas which ends up to the point where nobody is looting anything unless it's green or above because then we know it'll let us roll on it. We don't want that on white items though because then we'd constantly be dealing with the rolling system. Give us an option to have white items (including scrolls, potions, etc.) randomly distributed no matter who picks it up.

The loot system in this game is archaic. Please upgrade to a more modern loot system!

Just stopped by after me very first evening with the game.
Played with 3 of my friends in party and we were...very puzzled with what was going on when picking up coin stacks.
It seemed completely random who got coins from the stack. Sometimes, only one of us would get any (about 95% of the time).
Sometimes 2 of us and one of our party members didnt get a single coin from any of the stacks at all during the entire evening (we carefully monitored our "purses" the entire evening as soon as we discovered the phenomenon...which we did almost immediately).

I have tried to search for answers or even solutions but can only find very few other reports/posts (this thread being one).
    Quite frustrating.

At low levels if the coin stack is less than 5 copper (for party of 5) then somebody will miss out. Coins tend to be distributed evenly wherever possible. Sometimes there are coin stacks that drop only for you (others don't see them). Likewise, you see your own white loot, so just grab them without concern.

Apart from greed/need there are other loot modes the leader can set. However I think the descriptions are misleading- Round robin actually means each party member see/loot their own loot independently of the others, BUT proportion of loot drops is related somewhat to DPS on mob so DPS classes have a slight advantage. Free for all if I recall is just whoever grabs it gets it. If you're in a party with friends and happy to swap/trade loot later these modes can save rolling all the time and faster progression.

Hmmm, that makes a lot of sence of course. I will share your information with the rest of the (concerned) group.
Thank you very much for the helpful reply. It is much appreciated :)

Still saw this effect last night, and only 2 of 5 members of the party were getting any money (and that was pretty consistent). Since we were in some fairly high level areas, there should have been more than 2 copper in each pile.

We had not noticed this issue before last night and had just formed a guild, so we thought it might be a guild tax until we checked the guild bank and found it had not increased.

Before last night, we had mostly run in a party <5 people, so not sure if it only happens with a maxed party. Will have to try some experiments to see what happens.
