If you're being spawn camped in Gaunt with 19 others.....
You're doing it wrong & don't belong in PvP of any kind.
You dont know what you are talking about. If you die, or anyone, they can't come back to the match when being spawn camped. People do this from the beginning of the match and eventually lock up a large portion of the players in insta deaths. It really doesn't take a genius to realize this, or at least It thought it didn't. You are proving me wrong.

You must have terrible gear and/or potentially bad computer/ISP/connection.
I've been attempted spawn camped dozens of times both in Gaunt & regular 5 v 5 PvP.
Nearly always I've broken the spawn camp, or at the very least forced a stalemate where they cannot enter my spawn. (Unless half my team goes AFK/leaves.)
Amazing what a little knockback will do.
For Gaunt:
It's highly improbable to have a gaunt without a GF/GWF.
They tend to be tanky enough to buy me time to do my thing.
As a TR: Kill the annoying CWs of the spawn camping group which in turn causes a cascade effect that frees up an ally to do their thing. Usually a CW/DC that finally realizes they can knockback a large number of the enemy out of our spawn. Which lets us focus on whoever's left on top splitting the enemy's offensive power by at least half while we has a constant stream of allies respawning.)
As a DC: Instant Divinity sunburst against enemies near the edge.
Once the spawn itself is cleared, simply regroup & form a ball of death to bust through the blockade.
For 5v5:
You can easily force a stalemate where they can't get up in your spawn but you'll likely lose the match since they obviously overpower you and your team if they can spawn camp you to begin with.
This footage was not one of my two matches in GG, yes I have not PVP'd much. I have decent gear, but gear should not matter in this conversation because it is about Spawn camping and its adverse effects. While I agree with many of your points I think you are missing my point.

Spawn camping sucks, I'm sure there are people who dislike it as well as those who do. The only way anything will change is enough people voice their concern about it happening and Cryptic takes action to put a stop to it. I take pvp in any game with a grain of salt, stuff happens Unless you have a pr-made you have to deal with things not working out the way you planned.

Supposedly they did already, if I am to understand today's patch notes correctly.

It's not (spawn camping), it's a way for the opposing team to come join you in your graveyard for around of Texas hold'em.

Still worth testing, patch notes have a bit of a history around here

That match was obviously over in the first minute. (Only managed ~500 points)
Your team was severely outgeared.
