Enough with enormous downloads!

I understand that the game needs to be patched and fixed. But once a week or so with these huge downloads is incredible. The game went live and still these are coming, get it right. Most fixes are miniscule or not apparent so what gives?

I think next time I log on and have to wait for a long download I will stop it and maybe play again when the game is in working order.

    Odd. I haven't had more than a 150-200M download for most of the patches.

    I have see 4+ 900MB+ downloads in the last 3 weeks. I don't get it either.

    It may be PATCHING 900MB of data, but the actual download is typically smaller than that.

    The biggest download patch I saw was the big balancing one, the rest have been quite small and quick for me.

    Its still annoying and slow. Today i log in to what appears to be about 100mb patch. Fine! But for some reason the pipe that goes to NW patch server is the size of a coffee straw. I swithced from the on demand patching because it was even worse. many time it was tens of KB a second when zoning in. Now ive got up to 1/10 of 1mb per second average download. Still BS and I litterally can play another game (PoE/Rift) while waiting for this download and not change the download speed.

    And before the fanbois show up, I can download from the middle of the EU faster than this. (Im in WA,USA)

    I suspect its because they share some sort of server or network across all their games so its not just NW people dowloading. Whoever designed that layout should be fired and lied about any certs or qualifications he/she has.

    Hmm, very strange. I haven't had a download since after yesterday's maintenance. And I've logged in twice today so far.

    Have you checked to make sure the proper ports are open for THIS GAME?

    You Comcast? Reset your modem with full power down too. Mine takes about 15 secs. I had same issue in Kirkland.

    If you stop playing and then wait for everything to be fixed, you're going to have one HUUUUGE download waiting for you on your return.

    A few hundred megs is not a huge download and does not take a lot of time to get, if these downloads are taking a long time to grab you may want to consider a better ISP.

    Please refrain from trolling/flaming others. If you see a person doing such, use the "Report Post" function and do not respond to a troll/flame post in an inflammatory manner (this includes posting "Post reported.") as such is a violation of RoC itself and will subject you to action as well.

    After playing this game for a bit. I kept being reminded of Star Trek Online, like everyday in neverwinter I see something that I've only seen in STO before. Nostalgic, I was a little curious to see what STO was like nowadays.

    Fired up my STO client,
    6600mb patch started download.
    Hit x to close out of that launcher,

    I'm NOT that curious. LOL
