Last night in Gauntlrym, the top 2 kills were GFs (and both
first and second in score). To be specific, their kills were 31
and 30, and both had ONE death.
This is not a flame post, this is a inquiry how offense vs defense
is balanced in the game. I see no problem giving GFs the defense they
have, but the long chain stuns + ridiculous damage due to the 4 piece
set makes no sense. Im assuming its the 4 set piece on stalwart
that's giving them an excess of damage (over 10k power).
Hard to kill, no problem. Stupid long chain stun, no problem. The damage
they can do on top of that with a broken 4 piece set, no thanks.
What you profess makes me think you have played very few pvp matches, or in
fact are defending GFs (probably the latter). Nice reference to a mythical T8.
Rogues got nerfed over and over due to people whining about their damage (my main is CW).
They traded survivability though for it. What do GFs trade? If any other class could do
what GFs are doing, people would cry about it. But GFs seem to think its ok because
you are a "tank class." Hmm hmm (Im referring to the chain stunning and damage they inflict,
on top of survivability).

Point Classes:
GF - Tanky but has to sacrifice defense stats for burst or use Knights Challenge and remove frontline surge our 1 of 2 stuns (outside of daily) Class is able to be 1v1 by any class
DC - Stack Defense/Deflect just as tanky as GF and near impossible to kill on point in PvP 1v1.
GWF - Regen/Tanky build - Near impossible to solo on point 1v1
Roaming / Point Assists
TR - Could of Steel + G-Tene's - Kills from Stealth or 1 Shots players all day with lashing
CW - Lots of CC and dodging + Range (sits on high points killing players without risk of taking dmg)
Every class can stack G-Tene's, P.Vorpals / G.Plague Fires / etc... Every class can do ridiculous burst dmg and be tanky if you stack the right gear/enchants. But no one can make you a better PvP player.
Were they part of a zerg of their faction? Did they just assassinate low hp targets with lunging? Was the average gear level on the opposing team fairly low? Were they campfire camping? Were they using KChallenge?
Odds are that you have no idea.
Anecdotes are poor evidence.
Use the <removed exploit lead-in> to interact with the auction vendor.
Power isnt a great stat, so it's not the power bonus from the 4 set thats the issue. It helps their damage a bit, but not as much as other dps stats would (something they wont get while still keeping their defense).
Power adds damage at 25:1 or something like that, that means 10000 power adds 400 damage and healing. What decides the massive damage the GF can pull are the skills they slot. They also have very restricted movement and so on, but they get massive control instead. Same as the CW, except the CW has less mitigation but 3 dodges and a mass of control abilities plus high damage.
And judging a class from a 20vs20 round tells nothing, they might have been running in premades where people helped them to set up their kills and helped them to stay alive.
Clerics and GWF's are far more "tanky" than GF's in pvp. GF's block doesn't last forever, and breaking it leaves us completely vulnerable. Unlike your CW/TR/DC dodging immunities, breaking our guard halves our Power stat, and we do less damage when we lose guard meter. You don't lose a thing, but we do. We also do not have the mobility that your dodge mechanics enable you to have, as blocking actually makes us walk slower. The reason we have very good control is because we have no mobility. You can't outrun anyone as a GF. Ever.
GF's are not Tauren Protection Warrior tanks. The traditional tank role doesn't exist in Neverwinter.

Or they were last hitting liek bawses , what do you think ? ( last hitting to steal kills takes good concentration and nice timing we might as well call it skill from now on just FYI ) .

GF's have great burst, and will probably steal a bunch of kills if they can time their abilities well. Obviously they didn't solo 30 and 31, but took the kills from their teammates.

Have to say this....
GF have low attack speed but very high damage high burst. If a GF can time his attacks right, its easy to kill steal. Its also easy to blow some1 up in a few hits and then you have to sit while your CDs run down...
Typically the player who goes for all out damage sacrifices some defense, so either the two GFs are very good at running away or kill stealing or timing their knights challenge. Dont even need to have stalwarts to do this as long as your careful about when you attack and what you attack via knights challenge...
If there is any one thing that should get a nerf it would be knights challenge but it also has the con of giving the effect towards other players as well, so maybe just... dont be bad? and when you see a red lazer beam pointed at your head, dont ignore it....
GFs can be very strong but they are easy to counter if you know how to do it, I made a post about this somewhere out there, maybe you should check it out...
The least appealing/needed Classes (GF+GWF) for PvE, the same ones that often get kicked out of PUG groups, are being called OP because god forbids they excel at anything. They should just be equally ineffective in PvP as well.
Nevermind that Kill count is not an indication of ANYTHING except getting the last hit on a target. Given that GFs have high survivability, and a charge skill that does good damage, it makes PERFECT sense that they have high kill count.
Yes. GF and GWFs sucks at PVE, they should suck at PVP too! I demand it!

The kill reward system is still bs, I get so many kills stolen from me to some a hole who walks up and does 1 final hit on the enemy player where I've done 99% dmg to the player and still do not get anything but an Assist.

10k Power is easily achieved with Radiant Enchants.
The issue is T8+ / Greater / Perfect enchants, not the classes. You should really do a little more research before posting again.

GF's Encounters, At-Wills, etc.. have different ratio's on how it affects it's dmg based power.

Cleave has some of the worst returns and 5 stack increases the damage by nearly 40% :P
