Seriously.

We get 1 Gaunt at 6pm GMT (that's outside of the US BTW PWE) and then another at Midnight?

your spending public are not school kids who get home and finish their bananas by 6pm
OR
Out of work no-lifers who can stay up until midnight

WTF

USE YOUR BRAINS FOR ONCE PLEASE.
WE NEED A GAUNTLGRYM IN PRIME TIME FOR EUROPE.

THANK YOU.

I'm sure it's possible to get a rotating calendar or somesuch, that keeps track of prime-time time-zones.

So *bumb* because I have to live in the EU too

I'd argue that with you...but we'd both just be spitting in the air.

As with all of the Neverwinter events, they shift in time each day. So eventually Gauntlgrym will be at a time that is better suited for you.

Although, I feel that the Gauntlgrym events should be more frequent then they are. But they apparently don't like to have overlapping events.

Yeah, considering the scope of the event, I'd like the times to be more regular than the Dungeon Delves, and others. More frequent would be better as well, I mean scheduling is an issue, especially if this is a guild event.

In case you aren't trolling. The schedule changes each day just like DDs... In fact Gauntlgrym will always start 2 hours after DDs.

In fact this was a useful reply.

What would be very useful in game if we could have a somewhat more interactive calendar that allowed us to plan guild GG trips a few days in advance at least.

Yeah, it's tres lame. If GG wasn't so feckin' tedious, I'd probably be more upset, mind. It would be nicer if it popped when enough people were queued or something, as large PvP events have in some other games...

Failing that, for those of us who don't do time-based modular maths in our heads, some UI to work out what is happening when.

    Easy solution.

Make GG available each 2 hours (1.5 hours length + 0.5 hour cooldown), but only the first one each 12 hours works as DD (aka you get extra chest). This basically means you can do up to 12 GG's per day if you have nothing else to do in your life, but only two of them will grant an extra chest.

Same thing with Dungeons. You get DD chest the first one you make, but you dont get another one for the next 4-6 hours. This way players that only have 1-2 gaming hours per day on a fixed schedule can have their "happy hour" dungeon everyday, not only one out of 4 days when it happens to be DD event at the exact time frame they play.

About PvP... I dont even want to make any comments about pvp, too mutch work to do in this aspect of the game.

On a side note, if you press K in game, you get the schedled events for the next few hours.

Aye, that's not enough though. GG is rarely doable in the evening after work, as it's too far apart. Being able to see the next week or so's schedule would let people like me see what's going on when- useful when someone is all "mer mer mer, I want to do GG", so you can plan a reasonable time, and not have to stay awake until 2 AM to finish it (which did happen :).

I agree that making it cycle continuously every two hours would make matters better, though.

    The time is random...
It won't be the same tomorrow as it was today.

Oh, right, I had assumed it was on a cycle that wasn't the same length as a day. Random is extremely irritating :)

    100% agreed.

I believe that "happy hour events" are done for two main reason:

    1) MAking much easier to find people to play with, most of the people want to do the same things at the same time.
    2) Control inflation, so powergamers dont devaluate items so much that drastically reduce their incomings,

The system works nice in that way, but on a side note, free games live out of working people that have a limited schedule. I.e. I have a couple hours from the moment I come back home from work until my wife arrives, so I log on and if there is an event I like (gg about to start, DD not about to finish, PvP not about finish) I play, otherwise I log off and do something else. For now I have been relatively lucky, but if more of those log off days keep coming, I will simply move on to another game (I have invested near 100e in their shop, and will probably invest more in the future... I like aesthetic stuff)

It isn't random. Within a given day it is on a 6 hour cycle, then on a set schedule at midnight pacific, it moves everything forward either one hour or two hours.

Heres your endgame people. You can play it on an even number day of the second week in an odd numbered month, when pluto is in the 3rd house of acsension during an eclipse, after you join a guild. :p

No, it's not. I actually did gauntelgrym twice in maybe 3 hours last night.

I'm not positive if is 100% random but it absolutely isn't a short term rotation. If it is a rotation its days in advance rotations and certainly not simply an hour off.

I know Tyr's Paladium is going to do an in depth study of the schedule to break the code, if there is one, but in my opinion it's just random.

That is because you did it during the time when it was moving forward to the next day's schedule. That is the only time you will see an event happening twice in fairly short succession. Otherwise it is 6 hours apart.

Edit: Here is the current upcoming events schedules. Right now Foundry is going on. After that is the hour and half of GG, followed by half hour of professions. Then it is skirmishes, Arena, and dungeon delves. In total that makes up 6 hours of events. On the schedule after that is foundry again and the start of GG again. The upcoming events doesn't list any further at this point, but I'm 100% this rotation will continue until about midnight pacific time.
